JIC suspension adjustment?????

Just wanted to know how to soften the suspension in my car.

It has a large bolt on the top of the shock and when I turn it the whole shaft of the shock turn with it when the wheel is off the ground, anyway I am not too sure if the are adjustable but how can I tell they are, they are JIC.

if its damper adjustable... which these dont sound like they are... they normally have a little dial on the top which has like 4 numbers (depending on type etc) if it doesnt have them then they more then likely are NOT damper adjustable... unless they have ablack nob at the bottom of the shaft.
