Ok - thought I'd put this in a new thread just to grap all of you interested parties attention.

Just recieved an email from Chris (event co-ordinator) that there has been some cancellations and they now have room for 8 more people to the HSV Day at Phillip Island on Sept 19th.

You guys still interested? I have to fax him the details of everyone that wants to participate by Friday morning.

Also - just to throw a spanner in the works - that weekend at Winton they are having an open weekend. The Saturday will be like the usual Fridays ($100 with 30min sessions between cars and bikes) and the Sunday will be another $20 Fun Day. No CAMS license required for anyone that wants to go to these days at Winton but you will need a helmet.

I'm keen to hit Philip Island, but I need to have front and rear anti-roll swaybars fitted and new semi-comp rubber =/ I've been spending too much money recently.. If the car isn't ready at the level I want it in time, I may go up to winton on Sunday for the fun day since I missed out on the last one.

Rubbish :D You dont NEED new sway-bars, you have them std. You dont NEED semi comp rubber. Sure it would be nice to have them, but if you wait until everything is perfect onn your car, you will never, ever make it out there. Hell id be there if my car had an engine in it  ...even though i have a shopping list as long as my arm of things i want, as opposed to need.

You NEED to get out there and give it a flogg'n :( Std, tweaked or heavily modified it dont matter :headspin:

That's good advice, and you're absolutely right :D

I'll see how things go... I definately want to get out on the track in the 34. But judging from my cars handling on fast corners, I'd like to get my whiteline adjustable swaybars fitted.. also need new race pads & fluid.

No way boy racer, Your car will be fine. I was eating other cars out there so trust me when I say your car is fine. If you've got any questions let me know.

EDIT : I also had stock pads and fluid.

You can get rb74 front, comp 2 rear pads and motul dot 5.1 fluid from racebrakes for just over $300 bucks. Mine are getting installed tomorrow by mate

Is that price from racebrakes directly? I'm also considering Formula Ferrodo pads for the front, they dont squeal as much as the Ferrodo 3000.

Yes, when you go there say were were quotes $145 for the front pair and $132 for the comp 2's. I think ferrodo pads need to be warmed up a fair bit before they start to work, not fun on winter mornings driving to work.

The best ferodo comprimise pad is the ferodo 2500's. They are the stock pads on cars like the AMG mercs. Great track pad for your usual "sprint" sessions but may start to fade if you do an extended 8+ laps in one session.

The 3000 are farken noisey. But god damn they work good! :D

So far for the HSV day I have confirmed:

Snowman

Emre

Duncan

Skylinegeoff

Attached is the sup regs. I will bring some tonight in case - but I have to have these faxed off by tomorrow morning.

I might try to make this aswell since i'm there anyway. Would have actually prefered to do the HSV day rather than the MSCA. Dunno if I can afford both. Are you doing both Andrew?

When is the closing date they speak of? Is it going to be $110 or $200???
