I'll bet it was taken from either one or our earlier post (which we did always reference to one of the Japanese motoring magazines), or directly from one of the Japanese magazines.

BTW did you have a quick squiz at BC this month at the new MARK II which will probably be called MARK X by someone ;):P:D:D.

Hey Rezz, i just bought issue 15 of Speed magazine and i couldnt find any mention of the EVO X atm, havnt had a good read through......if i find anything ill type out the article on here, as i do not have a scanner. Although, there is an article on Top Secrets V35 GT-R theyre producing with a calimed 600Kw VK45 4.5litre V8, with an adopted 4WD from the G35x. You probably know all about that.

Theres also an article on the new GT-R calling it an "R36 GT-R" now. I will copy out that article later tonight if you like.

****edit.....sorry i just seen on the next skyline discussion board that the "R36 GT-R" article is on there....so ignore the top secret/R36 GT-R thing........

Steve.

I was in Japan last month and spoke at a mitsubishi engineer (actually we were drinking quite heavily so it was more of a slur than speeking :)) who said that top management were considering axing the evo 9 and onwards all together because of the recalls and quality issues mitsubishi (global) have incurred in the past. He said it was a 50/50 decision at the moment (august). I dont know whats happened since

I actually agree and prefer them to stop production altogether and come back to the car later on instead of slapping something together and the fact they are favouring the Colt platform for Rally.

Other reason I don't want the Evo to be a global car at all...it should remain limited as the day it started life.

i remember there was sumthing about the EVO X in a magazine but i dont think it was speed. i got the last 3 speed issues and cant find it...ill keep looking.
Cheers man...

There was am article in this month's NZ Autocar which mentioned that Mitsi Japan recently had a new product presentation to the Mitsi NZ/Au people, and that the EVO 10 was shown. Someone was quoted as saying it is a 'very innovative' design.

No pics though.

there is a page article with some pictures in septembers Motor magazine. i havnt got a scanner so i cant scan it sorry but maby somone else will.

Main points are

- Powered by 4cyl MIVEC Turbo with 240kw and 431nm torque

- Release late 2006

-Evo 9 release january 2005

- new active lsd on front

the pics are only drawings of a picture that was showen at the press confrence for a few seconds.

Unrelated but i thought you might know. I read that the 206kw rule has been taken away is this true?? ( i have read about most of the new models being powerfuler just wanted to make sure)

Wheels had a little article, with this picture:

lancerevox01small.jpg

Which has been photoshopped into yellow and orange.

rundown:

'07 Launch,

new 4 cylinder engine

Built on "C-segment platform" (which may be either colt or lancer platform. ATM it's simply labelled evo X)

the pic is a mitsu-produced concept pic.

They're all ACP mags, so I wouldn't be surprised to see the same article in all three. (speed. motor, wheels)
