So everyone here uses different types of rods. And i bet everyone thinks the rods they use are the best :D lol.

I think i've found Modified Eagle rods the cheapest so far. ~$1400 for a set.

Anyway can anyone tell me max reliable power and max revs you could expect to make with each rod brand?

Argo I beam is 30 grams lighter than the Carrillo H beam. Carrillo I beam is +/-2 grams of the Argo. Funny enough they rate the Argo at more HP per rod than the Carrillo's, but any "rating" of a component should be taken with a very large grain of salt.

If you are after revs without a real budget get aluminium or titanium rods.

i think hes a revving man... could have something to do with it

my mates are the same... push a sr20 out to 9300rpm before things start to snap

i wanna know which eagle chev rods these r :P sound the good

i knew i could trust steve-sst for good advice :D

The correct cams and the RB30's rev just as good but with more power and torque everywhere.

They do have a perfect r:s ratio which engine builders who build for track applications aim for. :P

Quicker acceleration adn response out of corners with excellent top end.

Obviously not with std cams though.

The Rb30DEt definately needs cams for track work.

The stockers rb25 cams hit the same airflow/power as the rb25 does at 7000rpm.

does a set of poncam 256mm 9mm lift in. hks 264deg 9mm lift ex sound good enough?

yup. Same setup im going later on. Make sure you find out how much lift you can run before you need to do head work to clear the lobes, but even then its no biggie.

I dont see any reason to go for huge cams on a street / track car....other than to bump the redline and powerband up a bit :)
