Hi

Sorry to dig up an old thread but my undertstanding of the situation is this

you may have tint on the front windows so long as it is 75% total... many cars come with factory tint in the glass so when you have this tint + the 75% film the total is alot darker hence the reason why its still not allowed by regency. same goes for the back... its 35% total.

another problem is that this law is for SA only so no companies invest in making 75% tint and if they do its the cheap dye crap. :P

the law isn't only south australian

its just that the otehr states decide not to comply with it

lol well to me that reads like a contradiction but anyways my last point is still valid :P

can you confirm or correct me on the bit about 75% tint is legal in the front so long as its the total "luminous transmittance" ?

The UV cut tint that the R34's have from factory is still a bit of a fight with the law as well.

It's one-way...which isn't actually covered by the laws....from inside the car it looks like 35%...from outside it looks less.

But as I've stressed many time to the boys in blue it *is* factory tint.
