Guys;

I've read the threads on track driven GTR sumps but can't find a discussion of the merits of, for example, JUN versus Tomei versus Performance Metalcraft etc. Among those of you that have used baffles, are there any thoughts on this from a design perspective?

There is also not much I can find on winged sumps. I know people do run winged and baffled sumps (as I understand the Gibson car did) and it'd be silly to not put wings on the sump while it was out to get baffled. Might there be drawbacks in winging the sump on a car that only sees the track occassionally? For example, does the oil stay too cool if you run wings and a cooler? Unlikely perhaps but that's the kind of thing I'm thinking about.

Thanks for any feedback.

Look at the trust replacement sump. It comes with a finned sump extension, and baffles and a redesigned oil pick-up. great value and looks cool too :) Around $400 + installation.

I am not a fan of the Trust sump extension, it reduces the ground clearance too much for my liking...........

For any circuit work I personally prefer wings and one way gates, and not much lower than standard. The extra capacity (~2 litres) comes from the wings and the and surge resistance from the one way gates. It is technically a better solution. Performance Metalcraft do a good one. :D
