Looking for a favour. My Pioneer head-unit has been installed in my R33 with one of those metal sleeve thingos, which aren't supposed to be used with R33s. As a result, it looks stupid and I can't fit the plastic surround around the Pioneer face.

I've had a quick look and I can't work out how it is supposed to be mounted properly. autObarn want $80.00 to fix it, which is ridiculous. Can anyone give up 15 minutes and help me sort it out?

I have the forks to get the head-unit out of the sleeve, but I'm not sure what other tools etc will be needed.

I live 10 minutes from Glenelg.

i had an alpine and that fit perfect in my 33 with the stock brackets!!! ... although the plastic surround that came with the head unit didn't fit ... i think its just for other cars ... the only way to remove that hole is to get some kind of plastic cover which changes as u get different model of head units ... tonkins in the city had one which i bought for like 5 bucks ... it almost fit but didn't ... in the end u coudlnt' really notice the small gap ... so i just left it ... i know that the plastic bracket i bought worked really good for r32's cause the one of the workers had an r32 and saw it and it looked perfect!
