Could somebody please give me a link to the rules and regulations provisional licence holders (in QLD) have regarding power, engine modifications and stuff like that...

Since this is my first post i'll introduce myself.....

I'm new to the forum, I am not a skyline owner but hope to be within 2 years, I am in Emerald in Central Queensland...

Thanks,

Blair

Welcome Blair :wavey:

I am sure someone else will link it for you ( I am not good at nerd stuff like that "nerd in a good way" ) Where are you from ? I am guessing Vic ? as far as I know you can have all the power you like and mods are just the same as us , have to be engineer certified or just don't get chaught and defected !

beau, emerald is in central QLD, as he said.

I think he said VIC meaning hes come from there as thats the only place (i think) that has the power to age specs. as others have said in sunny qld no restricition but watch out its getting more like VIC defect wise every week.

There are no restrictions as yet, but they are "planning" to bring in restrictions in regard to the power to weight ratio for provisional license holders. Who knows when this will happen though as these things take time. Mod's must be legal (mod plated).

Good luck with the car and welcome to the forums though

Matt

hey blair,

no restrictions apply in QLD (yet) for that sort of thing.......

A word of advice though..... Take it easy on the pedals , as the coppers love to book young fullas in import weapons for any reason at all...... And 4 points dont go a long way!!!!! If you get my DRift! :)

wizard79, thanks for the words of wisdom, if i ever do get my "dream machine" like planned I will be as carefull as possible not to get any traffic offences, at least until im off my p's, I am from Emerald in Central QLD, I have been here most of my life, I just didn't know the regulations here and didn't know where to start, so i thought i'd ask here, thanks for clearing that up for me people..... At least i know I'm allowed to have the car i want....

I'll cya all around the forum from time to time :ghost:

Cheers

Blair
