You can use it - I built it (!) and has a Manfrotto camera head on it - super stable... I just have to find the quick release plate to put in the bottom of the camera.

I assume that th 32 and 33 headrest uprights are the same width apart?

no idea.. i assume so...

btw does anyone hav a full size tripod??? i need it for the trackside camera im setting up... also is anyone going thats spectating willing to help with the filming from the sideline??

haha i used to live in noble park.

noble park is the toorak of dandenong :)

lol pffft... please, noble park is just as much of a hole as dandenong.

You dont see $3million+ mansions in noble park do you!

Ill throw in for a case of beer for the camera crew

Hey Troy - make that bourbon of some form and you got yourslef a deal!!!!! :jk: you know I'll do it for nothing.

I'll be at this day and judging by every other track day I've been to I guess I'll be filming/taking photos - I reckon I'm getting pretty good at it now.

Anyways, so yeah I'll help ya out Ni and I'm sure on the day there will be alot of other spectators willing to help out with footage as well.

:)

I have a tripod but is not very good... can bring it...

I have a mate who will take stills all day (she used to be a photographer for 'The Age'), and another couple of mates who will take stills...

and a guy taking video :)

I've got a VCD of last track day... Snowman features for a split second... that was before I knew the full power of the gearbox breaker guy :D

My mate made it - I'll burn a copy if you want to check it out

I have filled out the entry form for track day and will fax it in on Monday with TBA in all CAM related fields. Hope I get in. On the Maserati Club entry form it states $125 for the day (Roy's original link), Nissan Datsun entry form (snowman's link in VIC section) it's $85.

Anyway, it's my first track day and will require a bonnet thing'ie (Roy, can you bring another on the day and I will pay you for it then?) Also need to buy a helmet and fire extinguisher. I have also only driven my GTR a grand totalof about 40km since picking it up (from transport co. to home and home to compliance place, where it's at now) I have never owned such a car B4 and never been on a track, should be fun but I bet I clock the slowest time for the day:)

How bad are these track days on tyres? Anyone wanna take a stab in the dark like: 5 HRS Sandown = 5000km normal driving (25% off the life of you tyre) even though it just a training day.

No one will care if you are taking it easy and getting to kow the track and car. Just be sensible and ease into it.

Road tyres will handle it pretty well. My fronts have done 4 track days and are still pretty good even though they show a good bead of rubber on the edge of the treads from PI last weekend. I bought them 2nd hand for $100 each at about 70% remaining too.

Thanks for the info. As I'm a virgin to the track I would also like to know...

The numbers that they stick on your car window or door, can they be made and a number picked B4 the day. I ask because I have access to a swag of digital print and laminate cutting tools and thought it would be cool to do up a nice decal for the number (should look good while going around and make for great pics of my first track day)

Tyres info is much appreciated. I don't really have road tyres on though. Would you say the same rules apply to semi comp tyres? Better / Worse wear than raod tyres?
