u got 3 options the way i see it, the A pillar, pll it out check they will fit, then u can go from there using a holesaw and wat not

in the door trim, again find a decent mounting place and go for it, or the dash

if u don't wanna drill, u can glue the mounting brakcets onto the dash and only drill a small hole for the wires, or you can mount the tweeters in with the drivers which i wouldn't recomend

Just wondering wheres the best place to mount the tweeters in the r32?

If you have a look at the Fhrx Studios site http://www.fhrxstudios.com/ in the FAQ there's a question about placing tweeters.

I followed his advice & put them in the kick panels (in my R33), the stereo sounds great. It's really counter-intuitive but it works!

Fhrx obviously knows what he's on about.

You want to fill the car with sound rather than point them right at you because you don't sit in the middle of the car. The side you are on will dominate your field of sound and ruin it all if you mount them too close to your head. That's why kick panels are a good spot or not too high in your door trim.

I'm considering almost under the dash alongside the centre console pointing to the outside of the car, next to my turbo timer on my side and sort of at the bottom corner of the glove box on the other. Untried setup as yet though.

yeah i'm with marty on that one. stick your tweets all over the place. kickpannels are renowned (in most cars) to be the most popular because it helps your imaging and staging.

kickpannel mounting is great because it equalises the distance between tweet-to-ear as close as possible. you'll find that kickpannel mounting gives the tweets similar distances on both passenger and driver side (if that makes sense).

vance dickason's loudspeaker design cookbook talks about this in-depth.... and no, you don't necessarily need to have your tweets a handspan from your mids. i've heard cars that have tweets in the kicks and mids just infront of the chairs on the floor and that car sounded amazing (the best i've heard to date, actually....)
