Any idea on price + shipping (in AUD if possible?) rezz?

Any chance of accepting a group payment via paypal or something?

Are you ready?

$112. To your door.

That includes freight to my house, I'm not gonna go around during my lunch break looking for shops where these things where they might be sold in quantity, so there is a 750 yen flat freight charge to my house.

Still interested?

Just as a side note, that GT-R cost me A$53 with freight... thats right, you're paying $54 from Japan - Australia (EMS) for an under 2kg box.

Surely a big box with a whole bunch wouldn't be $54 shipping.

These are making it to local shops at about $70-$80 each. Wait a bit more.

T.

Shall I send them all to you in one big box then you distribute them Tony? Nah, bad idea...

I'm quoting EMS rates here, and thats what they charge. Of course I can send them in one big box, but how can I guarantee the person recieving the big box is gonna send them out to everyone?

What I wanna know is, if guys know my price, and are still keen, then why are you avising them to wait until local shops stock them? Because you want to save them money? Let them decide.

After doing some digging and searching on the net, I've found the following:

Manufacturer's website: http://www.hotworksracing.com/

It has Hong Kong as the manufacturer's address.

I havent done an extensive search on this, found 2 shops so far that sell Hotworks diecast models:

QLD: http://www.motorfocus.com.au/jap_road.htm

NSW: http://www.speedworld.com.au/Hot%20Works.htm

[Postage to WA for a 1:24 Scale is $10.45 includes registration.]

I have also found some US sites:

[Postage would probably cost more or as much as the car]

http://www.collectablediecast.com/index.as...TS&Category=267

http://store.jackadeal.com/hodi.html

http://www.vertexracing.com/category.php?c...680f3b6865c37a6

Then theres

Japan sites:

http://www.minicarshop.jp/ [which has quite an extensive range]

http://www.interallied.co.jp/index.htm

Korean site: http://www.modeler.co.kr/shop/shopbrand.ht...code=025&type=X

Singapore: http://www.pastimetoys.com/index.php?osCsi...4a57e62736bcd90

[At SGD $55.00/car approx. AUD $44.50/car - Postage is SGD $31.00/car approx. AUD $25.10/car. Postage for 2 cars is SGD $43.00, works out to be SGD $21.50/car approx. AUD $17.40/car..more items ordered postage will be cheaper. Perhaps group buy would be good.]

Theres also Ebay where most vendors that sell them are US based.

E.g. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...ssPageName=WDVW

[This particular vendor's postage cost is USD $16.00 approx. AUD $21.80. Other vendors have different postage cost - one was quoting USD $27.00, another one was quoting USD $25.00 + USD $2.00 Insurance.]

I've been to a few shops in Perth to look for one that carries Hotworks. To my disapointment I found none so far.

I have been to:

The hobby shop along Piccadilly Arcade.

The hobby shop at Wesley Arcade.

Perth Hobby Centre on Murray St. Found none but found quite a few Jada's...different from hotworks and not as detailed but it lets you change the wheels and bonnet. The price starts from about AUD $49 i think... there is another one called Muscle Machines and also Import Tuners. They also carries many different types of RC models including planes, ships etc...interesting visit. Plenty of accessories.

Games World at Garden City. Didnt find any hotworks but some Jada's, and Muscle Machines.

Heres a link to their website:

http://www.jadatoys.com/importracer124.html

If anyone knows where to get the hotworks ones in Perth or other anywhere in Aus, can you please put up the info? Thanks.

Hey Rezz, I want one. Willing to pay whatever $$$ it is for car and post. Do you know if you can get the ones with the fixed bonnet? Are the ones with the gap still floating around???

Do you use MSN at all - or am I best watching and posting in this thread the whole time? Cheers.

Update:

WA truly stands for Wait Awhile...recently only found Perth Hobby Centre has one 350Z Option Stream Project for $80.00...testing out the market i suppose.

http://www.speedworld.com.au/IMAGES/Web%20...0Z%20Orange.jpg

Games n Hobby at Gallleria had a sample (350Z Option Stream Project) but not for sale yet...guestimate sale price to be $70 - 80....

You have PM... btw, it's impossible to know if the bonnet/front bumper has been fixed until you open the box and attach the bumper and bonnet. Bummer.
I purchased the Z-tune R34 last week from Autobacs.

The bonnet line seems to be sweet as a nut.

Sweet, thanks for the heads up...

You have reply PM :) Also, Rezz... can you exchange it if it doesnt line up - like you cant open it up and swap it over to test it out, and then take it back if it doesnt line up, can you?

$100+ is just a lot of money for a die cast model, and I'd want everything to be perfect if i was shelling out that kind of dosh.. hrmm...

Not really... you've got to dismantle the car to get the bonnet on. By that time the car is well and truly "mine" so to speak :D

If you're doubtful about the quality, maybe you should go for one of the Autoart 1/18th scale Nismo R34s that TonyGTS-T posted up?

Homer2288, have you tried Stanbridges in Mt Lawley? I'm from Sydney myself, but have been to Stanbridges a few times when I've been in Perth. They seem to have quite a good collection, so you might be lucky there. They've had a renovation and increase in size since I was there last year, too.

Otherwise, try Sherriff's Mini Cars here in Sydney, they usually have a good selection of stuff.

Cheers and good luck

Nick
