Hey all,

first off i'd like to say, begin a new member here, that this site is definatly a huge help for rb newbies like me at getting to know your stuff. I think its cool that everyone here can share their advice and help out others.

ok now to my problem.

I got a 1990 R32 GTS-t Rb20Det Auto Sedan, only mod's being a chipped ECU (bought with it) and a Blitz POD Air Filter, It doesnt have a BOV. had it for about 4 months and most things running/working fine. Had to replace Water pump and radiator about 3 weeks ago, looked like a seized bearing in the water pump that caused that problem. any way all fixed untill 1 week later when started running rich, chewing fuel and dumping a heap out the exhaust untill running to work oneday she just cut power and stalled all together. This was after about 30mins driving sitting on 80-100ks most of the way. Could'nt even get it running again till after a week of tinkering with injectors, the rail and fuel pumps we got it ideling. Now whenever we give her a stab it stalls when backing off as the rev's fall.

On 1st thought we thought we had stuffed the timeing when changing the water pump, then looked at the injectors but they seem to be ok. after looking through a few forums we thought the AFM was bugged but just got word back that its all working good, we have checked pipeing for leaks/cracks. It's still over fueling and stalling and my brother and I are stuffed for answers and my cars been out of action for 3 weeks now.

Any input, hints, tips, answers... new engines would be greatly appriciated

naa it wasnt the head gasket, that was one of the first things we checked :) thanx for your idea though. Im not blowing any white smoke out the back so dont think its water. I am blowing/backfireing thick black smoke. raw fuel? expensive way to re-paint the workshop walls!

I'v just got it tow'd again! to a Skyline specialist. (tow bill is well into the hundreds now) hopefully they can find what's wrong within the next few days and I get it for the weekend. will keep you all posted as im sure this has happened to someone else.

worm.. if I had compresion lockup i wouldnt be able to wind over and all my valves would be bent.. thank god it wasnt that serious. It's been Fixed!

Turned out to be the fuel pressure requlator and the cam angle sensor was shagged. Luckily the guy had some there and everything was under $300. I get it back tomorrow.

thanx worm and youngcodger for your input/concern/random comments...
