Who here has installed one? are they a DIY job or is a Job for Auto Electrician/ Mechanic.

Who has tuned one? is it easy?

Depends on whether you want second hand or new? Nengun have new products (and second hand) and seem to cheaper than other suppliers. I've got most of my parts from nengun and never had a problem.

Greenline are sometimes cheaper than Nengun on some parts.

Depending on how mechanically minded you are I guess is to whether you pay someone to do it, or do it yourself. Adrian (strutto) has a fair bit of knowledge about the SAFC's, I'm sure he'd give you some information if you required it.

Tuners around the place. Theres the usual Autotech, Mercury Motorsport. Not sure about Matty Spry (I know he does PFC's, I gather he'd do other plug in parts).

I got both, i even got an SITC hehe

Only got AVCR installed at the moment though.

Buy through nengun. I got my AVCR as part of a group buy awhile back for $585

I think they are at nengun now for $615 or thereabouts

Installing is pretty easy, i did mine all myself. Just goto the USA Apexi site and download the instructions.

If youve ever mucked around with wiring/electronics before you should be able to do it. Can help you if you want.

And tuning of the AVCR is childs play, just takes some time to get the settings right.

- Nengun or Greenline for new...

- Installation is time consuming, but not difficult...

- Wiring does get messy around the ECU when you have more than 1 device...

- Dont stuff up the ECU wiring, its easy to do it around the wrong way...

- I had a SAFC2 and SITC before knore Mine are installed and working too

- Tuning is simple, but you need a dyno (or dyno printouts)

- I am the hero...

- Use solder, not the crimps supplied...

- I can help you to install and tune... I have previously done this on quite a few QLD cars...

- My cost is up to you... I won't have much time for you in the future if you decide to give me $10 or something... A carton keeps me happy

I just had my safc tuned, installed myself but took it to my mechanic to put it on the dyno. Well worth the money IMHO

yea even though everyone has already said it, nengun is where i got my SAFC II, its not that hard to install but can take some time. I think there may even be a thread on it in forced induction, do a search and have a look. If you dont have any idea what your doing then get some help as you have to cut and solder wires on the ecu loom (and you dont want to go screwing around with the wrong wires).

never tried the safc but i am sure i could do it aswell,
