Changing water pump

hey guys, im due for my 100k and im planning to change my water pump too while im at it to a N1 item. what id like to know is do i need to change all the other parts associated with the water pump like thermo stat, radiator hose...ect. reason i ask is that i got quoted 700 for aftermarket water pump, nizmo thermo stat, radiatior hose, ect....im thinkin its abit overkill, but hey maybe it isnt.

also my engine occasionally makes a loud squeeling sound on start up which i think could be a bearing?? wats the going cost for replacing idler and tension bearings??

Are you sure its not your fan belts making the noise? Check for cracks in the belt or they may need a little adjustment.

yeah that could be the other reason why it does it. will have to check.

just change the water pump, dont change the rest unless it needs changing, i.e the hose and thermostat.

does your 700 quote include labour?

btw. an n1 water pump is only $150 from nissan.

an aftermarket normal pump is around 70 from any spares shop.

thats what i thought but he went on about changing the stats and hoses aswell??

what is the differance between the n1 pump and a factory pump? will the n1 suit rb25det? and part numbers of these items too if known.
