Ok Matt (and Ni for that matter)

Chasing the BEST prices for semi's is really really difficult. Because each state only has one distributor! They do this so that there isn't price competition.

The Vic distributors for Dunlop, Bridgestone, Yokohama/Advan are as follows:

Dunlop - Stukey Tyre Services - 828 Sydney Rd. Brunswick 3056 - PH: 9386-5331

Bridgestone - TRACKSIDE 161 Canterbury rd, Kilsyth, VIC 3137. PH: 0409 021 885

Yokohama - Traction Tyre Center - 65 Kellets Rd - Roweville - PH. 9764 2811

Apparently Meridian can get the Bridgestones - but I don't know how. The prices the NSW boys get are much better than those we get. If time isn't an issue - contact Duncan as it may be cheaper to get them sent down from Sydney.

BTW - my advice - get the RE55's (SR). Have used both the A048's and RE55's and the Bridgestones kick ass.

thanks mate, I already have the distributor details.... I just called around a few places, got a sweet price quoted for the 18" RE55's :) there could possibly be a sponsorship or club discount opportunity there too... I'll see when I go down to place my order.

Dont want to sound like the teacher in the schoolyard ruining ppls fun...BUT:)

If you are running R-spec rubber for the first time on your RWD Skyline then be sure that your susp settings will not kill the tyres. I killed a front set of DO1Js after one day at Eastern Creek because i only had 1.5 deg neg camber and i think castor was 5.5/6.5.

You have SOOOO much more grip that you tend to roll onto the outside shoulder of the tyre and can easily over heat them and blister them.

So sure, bolt on some stickes if you have the $1600 laying around, but be sure that you have some susp settings that will allow the tyres to live if you are planning on doing more then 4 laps at a time.

Also if you dont have ABS be aware that these tyres are a lot closer to race tyres then your normal road rubber, so flat spots are possible if you stuff up under brakes.

It was over 2 years before i bolted on my first set of stickies, and im glad i waited, the money saved allowed me to do planty more track days in the interim, and all the loses, brake locks ups and tomfoolery didnt kill anything more then some cheap and nasty Falken F451s.

So , sticky rubber RULZ:) , just be aware that there are also a few things to consider when using them.

in that case i think i'll just get some decent sports tyres :D dont wanna ruin that much tyre with flat spots.. suspenmsion settings shouldnt be an issue... no idea how much neg ca,ber i have on mine.. but it looks a fair bit :)

cant adjust camber on the shocks you need these....

oh btw i am in the middle of jigging a set of these up.....so i will be able to manufacture these soon...these (to my knowledge) will fit R33-R34 gts/gtr skylines

maybe 32 but cant be sure on that

You running Nismo's too? R tune or S tune?

Was gonna say my R's dont have camber adjust and I didn't think any did!

i dont even know how to change the camber on the front... i thought it might have something to do with all the nobs and stuff on the pillow ball mounts but i have no idea which one to change :)

G-Attack R-tune :) I can adjust the spring damper rates on the dial on the top of the struts.. but I to adjust the camber u need camber plates or a camber kit..

Roy, what's a good camber setting you would recommend? I think the stock camber is set at 1 degree... so maybe increase of 1-2 degrees negative? I want about 3 deg. negative on the front.

      All I can say Duncan is good luck and I hope that Neil did not run any E85 in Cheryl. I have recently experienced the full spectrum of fuel tank issues in my R33's that had been caused by E85 and contaminated fuel. When you take the cover off the top of the tank and have a look inside you will get an understanding of how easy it will be. Best case situation is clean fuel with minimal contamination. My GTR was like this and it was a very simple operation to just grab the fuel pump carrier bracket and slide it up and out of the tank. My three GTS_T's had different levels of fuel contamination that was probably caused by E85 in the fuel.  In the worst case all of the metal components in the tank had rusted to the point where there were pieces of rusted metal swirling around in the tank. This required the removal of the exhaust, the tailshaft, the complete rear cradle and the fuel tank. The components in the tank were that rusted that it took days to get the fuel pump carrier and the mounting brackets out of the tank. When the tank was finally cleaned, everything inside the tank had to be replaced. With the tank all back together I could then reinstall it in the car along with everything else that had to come out. Good luck and I hope that you find a clean tank.

Exact model would be KR_R32RGFEL_SS According to GTR-Registry.com is a 2 Door Coupe; RB20DE; 2WD no HICAS; MT.F5; (11L) Projector Headlamps and Fog Lights; (12_) Electronic Active Full Auto Air Con (Climate Control); (13-14SS) V Selection -- Which seems to be accurate description of my variant.
