I had an accident last friday and am now looking for replacement wheels. 1 is bucked beyond repair(centre is bent) and the other is repairable but I'm not going to attept it until I find 1 wheel to replace the broken one. I know it is far fetched to expect that someone would know an exact match but it cant hurt to ask :D

Wheel dimensions are 18x9JJ and +22 offset, 2 piece Enkei's, dunno what model but they are discontinued. I have seen several for sale before so they are not non-existant in Australia. I'll settle for damaged rims so long as the wheel centre is not damaged.

Picture can be found here.

If not, I'll be looking for some new wheels so if anyone can point me to a place selling similar size and relatively lightweight give me a msg!

I wouldn't say it was attempting a drift...it was a low speed accident with no grip at all. Approached a bend and off boost, next thing I know I'm facing the wrong way and on the kerb. I still don't know exactly what happened but I do remember jamming the brakes!

The picture was a "before" shot. The damage to the rim isn't bad and it can be rerolled but the centre is bent about 3 mm so it is wobbling and cannot be repaired. Car does not shake or vibrate with the spare on and I cannot see any other visible damage(spacesaver does make it veer to one side consistantly though).

I found out the exact wheel specs though, they're Enkei Racing S's.

Anyone know who distributes Rays/Volks or Buddy Clubs?

I'd try emailing a few of the wreckers and see what they have - either way I reckon you'd have to buy a full set if they are s/h

There where a few group buys on jap wheels, do a bit of looking and there should be a few contacts that may be able to steer you in the right direction

bummer about the stack, sorry to hear

replacement wheels? how about a replacement car?

ECENSHU: i was talking my brothers friend (hai) today and funny enough he said his sisters boyfried with a certain 32gtr who's enkei rims were damaged. Woudn't happen to be you, would it. =D

It is a small Adelaide after all...Hai is my sisters boyfriend not my girlfriends brother :)

Car has no panel damage so just after some wheels at the moment. I don't want to drive it on the space saver!

PS: A new car would be good too...anyone wanna give me a CL55?

On a more serious note, does anyone know where I can get some lightweight 18's in SA?

  • 3 months later...

Guess it's about time for an update.

Car is finally back on the road, I ended up getting a set of second hand rims exactly the same as my old ones (Enkei Racing S) from Yohoo Auctions Japan. I got them through Slidewize Imports and I'd definitely reccomend him for any obscure japanese parts finding!

On a different note now, my car recently developed a clunking noise on the front left wheel over low speed bumps(ended up being a worn bush) and after fixing it, the suspension is now lopsided IE: left is lower than the right up front. No other things changed. What could this mean?

Also, could anyone reccomend a place that specialises in suspension (NOT Pedders!)? :D

PS: Hope to see you all on the roads again!
