I just bought my car and found out with alot of research that i have this turbo in my r32 gtst skyline. my only mods when i bought the car there was a fuel regulator, 3 inch exhaust and dump pipe and and pod filter...its boosted to 15psi at the moment. Just wondering what power gains should i be reaching with this sort of turbo. Is it rated better than the HKS GT2530? i was thinking it is as its bigger. but the 2530 is smaller so it will have better low and mid range response?

power gains arent great unless u have the back up items to match. Sure its a bonus that u have this "Larger" turbo but without a front mount cooler i wouldbe winding boost down to 12-13psi, i made that mistake and im rebuilding my engine, do urself a favour, before going insearch of power, go insearch of back up systems to suit(ie computer, fuel pump etc)

Is this a better turbo than the hks GT2530? coz yeah i dont have a front mount , but i have a remapped ecu, im pretty sure i dont have a bigger fuel pump...do u guys think this is the reason why my car seems even slower and has alot of lag? coz i dont have the power system to back up this turbo?

If your car does indeed have this turbo, I suggest following the recommendations of people already and fitting a front mount asap. You should also be addressing your fuel supply issues and fitting a higher flowing fuel pump and looking at some larger injectors.

If you get these areas sorted, you should end up with a fairly tidy package

Take your car to a reputable workshop and have it checked. If I was you I wouldnt be so focused on how much power this turbo of yours might make.

I'd be confirming once and for all what you are running and checking that everything is in good order before you run into trouble.

Aybee he would get much more than that in my oppinion. The 2835 is larger and flows mopre than the 2530 and 2530 can get 200rwkw easily... My mate has his 2530 making 210rwkw @ 17psi. Should make around 230 or so?? How do these go on a RB25?

what?

so are you saying that it should make much more than 250rwkw? or around 230. cause i said that it would be good for "mid 200's" meaning around 240-260rwkw.

But thats whay ive always thought my car would be good for and its slightly more powerful than the std 2835 (420ps compared to 380ps)

Ok i have been waiting for a 2535 for a month now... not sure whats going on but aparently HKS have them on back order and cant give a definate eta. Does anyone know how the 2835 will stack up compared to the 2535? i may go bigger... is it laggy? will i need cams? ANYONE PLEASE! ps its for a RB25DET

HKS GT2535 - 340 PS Output

COMPRESSOR:

-Housing- 60 Inlet / 50 Outlet - 0.60 A/R

TURBINE:

-Wheel- 76 Trim - 53.8 Major / 47.0 Exducer

-Housing- GT25/T3 inlets / Outlet specs:

Internal GT25 outlet; 0.64, 0.86 A/R

Skyline Type; 0.64 A/R

HKS GT2835 Pro S - 420 PS Output

COMPRESSOR:

-Wheel- 56 Trim - 53.1 Inducer / 71.1 Major

-Housing- 100 Inlet / 50 Outlet - 0.50 A/R

TURBINE:

I'm going out on a limb here - but my guess would be that the 2835 will be laggier. (80PS Difference)
