this is a small one where you can just see the intercooler.... bar has been fixed by now!

How low is your cooler mounted Matt??? We did mine the other week and mines up alot higher then that, with just the bumper on you can't see it hanging out down below...

looks good! but does it work well? eg: cooler intake charge or lag? have you taken it down the strip or on the rollers to see any advantage? of course there will be some but how much?!! and when will some one fit a VH45 to a local r30!! me cant afford it yet.

Yeah, it runs a little warm, never gets much over 3/4 on the temp guage, but it always cools well at idle/low throttle driving, and it never over-heats. But yes, water temp runs a little higher with intercooler where it is, but cooler inlet temps would compensate for this a bit, no?

machg

just a quick question, how is the running temp with the cooler right in front of the radiator like that?

It really could be better, although i do some circuit/track days,it has never overheated.but im thinking of going to the smaller size(so cheap now) just to allow that bit more air through. The air intake temps are awesome though. At 1.3bar ive never seen temps above 35 on a 30 degree day.

VH45 is ILLEGAL IN NSW fitted to any R30.

For engine capacity modifications, maximum allowable capacity is calculated on the vehicles body weight.

The MR30 Hatch is factory specified at 1250kg and for normally aspirated this has a multiplier of 3 = 3750, and turbo x 2.5 = 3125.

An RB30 2.0mm o/size = 3102, my RB hybrid is 1.0 o/size @ 3032.

Therefore a VH45 cannot be registered in this state and any other as I am aware, but I may be wrong.
