y the hell would i need to do homework on turbos that blow after a few thousand km's?? My turbo works fine. I think you need to do research my friend as to why ur stuff keeps blowing up :)

Maybe its similar to my turbo recently declared totaly screwed after 2/3000 K's

Had the turbo high flowed and changed from roller bearing to normal oil bearing.

TROUBLE IS the oil supply line was not modified to supply a lot more oil to suit the oil bearings!

The std oil supply line has a restriction in the banjo fitting on the block to suit the reduced amount of oil required for roller bearing. :P

So I have now drilled out the banjo restricter so it will get full flow when it goes back on soon after being refitted with the largest flowing T4 comp wheel.

But I have retained the std small turbine housing with the backcut wheel for good low down response - hope it wont choke, but have a full 3" custom dump to 3" cat and 3" S/S exhaust. :)

LOL INASNT listen here if you actually used your 300rwkw on the track strip or even the street you would realise that stuff breaks maybe not turbos but other items.:P

or you are driving it hard and its jsut not making more than 200 rwkw to break anything :)

/me grabs his keyboard and raises it in the air :upurs:

I am infact heading to falls creek for work on tueday morning, so if you want you can meet me in bright and you can race me in my company car (BA XT) from bright to mt beauty coz there some sweet mountain trails through there :P

Or come race at sandown next month :)

No shit other things break, but we are talking about turbos and bearing faliure here and you dont need to drive it at the strip or track for that to happen!!

And even if my car was making 100rwkw its still more than urs does boxing.gif

Peace Out :D

ahaha lolz, he was bagging me at mas for not getting a line, and he is NA!!!! ahahahaha the irony is sweet

OBEHVE is running a RB30 hybrid just like TRY09S i think.

Scotsman/marcus see you at sandown next month, cant wait should be lots of fun :D

He's runnin the rb25 bottom end and head, going by the article in zoom, a while ago.

    • Just something I found searching for more info on Emotion R, apparently the ECR33 Skyline GTS25t was either originally black, or there were two of them, the black one being the original demo car, then building a white one which was part of the 1997-onwards (to at least 2008!) Cockpit Tatebayashi Tokyo Auto Salon booth demo cars. It appears that Emotion R closed down in 2008 and was declared bankrupt in 2010: http://bank-db.com/hasan/208365. Scan of a magazine with the black R33 from 1996: Wayback machine archived page from May, 2000: https://web.archive.org/web/20000529061027/http://www.emotion-r.co.jp/skyline.html Option magazine with a few photos from the Cockpit Tatebayashi booth at the Auto Salon from various years: 2002: http://www.jdm-option.com/photo/index.php?action=item&category_id=154&image_id=3507 2003: http://www.jdm-option.com/photo/index.php?action=item&category_id=137&image_id=3033 2005: http://www.jdm-option.com/photo/index.php?action=item&category_id=116&image_id=1831 In 2008 Cusco website mentions that the Cockpit Tatebayashi ECR33 was displayed at that year's Tokyo Auto Salon: https://www.cusco.co.jp/event/2008/12/post_735.html As of 2021 it appears that the ECR33 demo car ended up being exported to Florida, USA: https://rmcmiami.com/inventory/1996-nissan-skyline-r33-cockpit-tatebayashi-demo-car-big-te06-turbo-endless-brakes-lsd-450hp/ And finally here's Google streetview of the Emorion R garage in 2023 which is amazingly not only still there, but the showroom is still full of various parts in stock and funishings, etc.: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ttyEAZdZLyzermyT9 Apologies for nerding out a bit. I used to love doing this 20 years ago on SAU and got a bit nostalgic for a moment... 😅
    • Try fabricating something like this and install it under the pedals? Not sure if it's legal or not....
    • Even though I have some pretty good (brand) ratchet ringies, I avoid using them to break open tight bolts. A broken ratchet is very annoying.
