Well my luck with my skyline has been down right shocking over the last month.

First i got broken into, and they couldn't cath the bastards cause they had stolen number plates.

Now last night at either the Floreat or CPP on Roe St, think it was CPP cause didn't notice it at Floreat, I got my drivers side door keyed.

I scoped the cars that i parked next to and they were like corollas and other basic ones and 3 cars away from a R33 Grey GTR. So wasn't next to no any commocraps who can't handle that skylines are better performing so I got no idea why i got the hit.

Also parked next to 2 riced up 180SXs at the FLoreat. My bunky was in repair for the weekend for a wheel bearing and some part that couldn't be sourced in WA so i had to use the line. So if i had the bunky fixed i doubt anything would've happened.

They put 2 scratches in down to the metal about twice as lone as the door handle.

Can anyone recommend me to a panel beater that won't charge ridiculous, didn't notice a panel beater in the sponsers area that i could use my membership on.

seems to all happen in the same area

must be same set of dodgy kids running around causing trouble

I've never heard of it happening in floreat before, and my mates are always parking there

JXL, bad luck dude; but there's no point stooping to cretin level by joining in on the '"commocrap" who are likely to key your car' chanting

To respond to your your question though, I used some group who were over the railway line in guildford once, they were dirt cheap to fix a dent so would be able to touch up the scratch no problems

Will find out their name or address if you want to travel there?

Yeah i don't mind travelling there, if you get me the addy taht would be great.

Few people have said maybe $60 but it could turn into $100 and that's money i don't have and didn't budget in the week for so this kinda crap really is pissing me right off.

Stuff all this anti-hoon laws, we need some anti-c**t laws for these pricks punishable by public canning and 3 years lock up in maximum security.

i say the government force the keyers to bend over in one of those olden day stocks while the entire west coast eagles football team runs a train on their ass.

that'll teach em never to key another car, my brother parked his car down towards the footpath you may / may not have seen it, the orange 180sx / black roof?

he parked it there literally not longer than 3 minutes to run inside and some prat keyed his boot, awful hey...

I'm pretty sure this is the road:

Duffy St, in Bassendean/Bayswater

It's a couple of years since I went there, but yeah they charged pretty much nothing

Good luck with it anyway dude

trolley damage still there :D Front end damage (which was my fault unfortunately) got fixed at Mildland Accident Repair which did a good job ..... although they use all second hand parts where possible so i had to get them to fit me a new fan blade today cos the one they put in there was rooted.

Your line isnt black is it? they are bad luck i tell ya haha!

Oh well jsut makes you enjoy it more when you do have ya car :)

Was there anything taken when they broke into it? Barsteds did my car while it was parked a few metres from entrance of work in plain day - just smashed the drivers window took the radar detector .... i was lucky that SAFC n EBC was left and i looked my CD's in glove box that day cos i had a feeling. Maybe police should friggin spend their resources actually preventing crime!

    • The second part yes, the first part about easy VE calculation is something I've seen a few people talk about online.
    • You 100% could do that, would save money on a gym membership lol. But yeah, getting a cordless orbital sander will feel priceless coming from doing it manually.  Good luck with it mate
    • I initially was going to do the whole car with a block then realised, it would be a bigger monster of the job 😂 I guess that's all part of the learning process. I appreciate all that advice, I think I got a good idea on how to tackle this whole job.
    • I admire your efforts with the scuff pad.  As a mere mortal, I use this for the baulk of my sanding work- https://sydneytools.com.au/product/milwaukee-m18bos125-0-18v-li-ion-cordless-125mm-5-random-orbital-sander-skin-only Yes you can easily create a low spot while sanding. There are 2 types of filler, 1 part of 2 part. The 2 part filler will get used for large corrections and the 1 part filler will get used for pin holes and areas that only need slight filling.  Depending on how zealous you are with the sander (very easy to do with a power tool) or if you are chasing rust etc, yes those low spots will need to get filled or you will end up with a very obvious defects in the paint.  Using the guide coat and large sanding block, high and low areas will be revealed (watch youtube videos for a good visual on this). Its up to you if you think its worth the effort to make the car completely flat before you spray it (you make it flat by filling the low areas).  At the end of the day, it comes down to time. The end result comes from the level of prep put in to the car. If you want a perfect result, you have to put in the time during the prep stage or else it will be impossible to achieve a perfect result during the spraying process.
