that was fun.

And yes my best real lap was 2.02. Its amazing how slipping $50 to the timekeepers can take 5 sec of your times, just like semi slicks really :D

:D

Was a truely great weekend.

A BIG thanks to Andrew for taking me on the passenger session. Experiencing all those G's really was a sensational feeling.

Waiting for my car to be ready and i will be soon joining all of you out there. I will of course start from the rear of the skyline field :D.

Hope to see you all soon.

Another great weekend had by all. The drinking sessions slowed down my enthusiasm on the Sunday, but chopping HSV's was enuf to keep me pushing hard till the last lap. I loved the 5 lap super sprint's format for the last session of the day, and I must admit the HSV day was the best organisation i've seen at a club day yet. Even with the pits being renovated and a large field to contend with.

Everyone in our field was good to chat to and encouraged a friendly, healthy compedative attitude towards the whole day.

I personally feel I couldn't get more than another 1/4 of a second off my PB without changes to the car. I felt I pushed as hard as I could to keep up with Snowmans decreasing lap times. Well done mate! I just cant keep that corner speed while still running stock suspension. But enjoyed every second of it trying a few diff methods around the track.

Well i said there were some awsome pics to come and here they are.

Ill bring the hard copies to the next meet so you can have a look, and ill have some inlarged ones aswell.

hope you like!!!

I will be attending as many track days as i can, so there will be more where these came from.

James.

Nice photos James; have I met you on the day...?

I've met the brakesRus representative from Sydney who kept littering my car. :)

Awesome fun was had on and off the field, even though the resident larrikin was missing. It was a pretty quiet saturday night without you Roy. :)

Chris,

It is due for a wash next month mate.

    • Hi soviet_merlin, We appreciate your concern regarding this possibly being some sort of PR/Political hype, I assure you that is not the case, I wish we could claim something like that, but in this case, we merely reached out for comment on the basis of the outrage we too felt, as those heavily in the automotive industry. Ps. the original source in the social media post is CarExpert not CarExplore.    Best, CE.
    • Made a bit of a discovery, but while I was cruising, I randomly decided to test to see if it worked and it showed up on my IC7. The entire time I tested it before, I never thought to turn the ignition on. I only tested it with head lights turned on but with the ignition off. Huge oversight on my end. I’m a dummy. I know.
    • G'day all, I have drilled and tapped the hole for the relocation of the timing belt tensioner. That was straight forward. I'm unsure if I need to also put another hole for the smaller stud that the spring behind the tensioner catches on (this is how it seems to work in its original spot). Or do you not use the spring behind it and just torque it down? Thanks in advance, I did a search but couldn't find anything related and it doesn't mention it in the rb30det sau guide.
    • Hi All,  just thought I would provide an update as I know smooth (Matt) was on this forum from 2003.    my brother Matthew passed away end of may 2024 at the age of 41 from liver failure. I am not sure how many of his original team krazy friends are still on here or active but thought it reasonable to let the forum know.    if you have any photos or pictures it would be great if you could share them.    it took me a while to work out he was active on here.    thanks so much
