ok hang on, there is a sweet 95 R33 gtst with mods in immac cond, lander for just over 12k, now getting over the initial shock of such a low price and the thought that there are about 10k worth of fees about to hit me that i havnt seen, can anyone clear up how much im looking at roughly to have the car fully complianced and arrive at my door?

if its anywhere round 17k then consider mine for sale!

even considering the compliance cost of $3500... thats still round $30k for a 96 R33 GTR. If these prices are correct (tend not to be) then these guys will put up some competition with jspec and prestiege... but we are yet to find out their reliability.

They are just standard prices.. you can get cheap R33 GTR for around $30k.. have been for 12 months. Quality debateable.. but my mates R33 has had no problems and is very clean and purchased for $32k.

Seen a lot of prestiges cars in there getting there compliance work done by Danny.

This company has been in the same compex as me for a long time and we do work for them a lot and the standard they demand from us is very high so id expect all their work to be high standard. If you doubt them have you ever seen garrantys anywere in OZ like they have?

If your looking at the white 95 R33 which has those new alloys, aftermarket front bar and m-spec skirts, this car got listed and sold on prestige over the weekend.

As stated by GTS-t VSPEC, the prices are that way for a rerason. Compliance costs, freight costs and licencing costs all vary considerably from state to state. The constant costs are included in the listed price, then you just click the cost calculator and it does the rest. I have never heard so many people complain about how cheap cars are?

There seem to be a few sceptics.....If anyone has any genuine questions I am happy to explain everything. We don't have anything to hide and are not new kids on the block.

how do you work out the cost of compliance for the particular model you are after i.e stagea?

There is no secret way. You just have to go to the DOTARS website, find out who can comply the model you want, and call around and bargain them down.

Search from here: http://raws.dotars.gov.au/rawswebpublic/RA...AWPubSearch.asp

its simply hard to beleive, thats all, i paid 15k fo my R33 with a few mods and got an absolute bargain (private sale) so its crazy so see even better cars ready at my door for 12k!!!

i'll sell mine and line something nice up from you guys for around 13k

guys - look into the full costs, and use the cost calculator, work out what a new set of tyres, rego, and stamp duty will cost ($1000-$2000). Compliance on R33's has become quite cheap because they are common us muck... but is still around the $3000 mark. Their fee isn't listed on there in there "landed" price either, so you gotta whack $1200 ontop. So realistically, add about $5-6k on whatever price they have on there for any vehicle. And no you can't just "avoid" any of these extra charges in any way to get your car on the road.

I'm not saying they are not reasonable prices, but never go thinking you can get an R33 turbo for like $12k - you're only going to be disappointed. This is nothing against this company's service, just that research everything fully before getting too excited.

Stageas under 20k has to be good.

http://www.autowholesale.com.au/ and they start at $17,000/$18,000 and you get 3 years Warrenty.

Just ring around in your state and find the best price you can get especially on R33's as on the East so many workshops are doing them, the only cars you cant bargin on are EVO VII's and RX7's.

Check http://raws.dotars.gov.au/rawswebpublic/rawpubmain.asp and it will tell you who has what, ask the workshop who they recommend to source un-damaged cars as DAMAGED/REPAIRED cars arent to be complyied and I would love a RAW to put in writing they will comply damaged cars from Japan.

A few people have had their cars scraped in the last month as the RAW's knocked them back as they were cheap for a reason.

It cost's the same who ever you use, it is just who you want to spend your money with.

    • Been a long while since i have updated this money pit lol.  Have had a few tune related issues with the car, first blowing the frost plug out the back of the head and then blowing the headgasket 3 months later, which has now been retuned and sorted. Done a few little changes along the way as well, i wasn't happy with the wheel and brake setup, so start of last year i managed to get myself a set of r35 brakes and nismo lmgt4 18x10.5 +15 Upgraded to now running a Precision Gen 2 6870 with a 1.15ar, to be honest felt more like a downgrade as the car feels much lazier around town compared to the Gen2 6466 previously. 0761719E-5683-43F7-BD3B-4BD94335DFF4.mov
