I had a safc2 on my s1 33 gtst. When the car just started, I mean when the engine is cold, at the idle speed, I read the knocking amount is around 30 from the safc. Ok it's fine.

After 10 mins driving, the knocking amount is increased to around 50 when engine is at idle speed, but will decreased when the rev is increased. Higher rev, lower knocking.

After 1 hour driving, the knocking amount is more than 100 when engine is idle! Even the amount will decreased when the rev is higher, but the knocking amount is still unacceptable. Furthermore, if I make the car cool down for a while (but the engine is still warm), the knocking amount will decreased a bit.

It looks like the knocking level is linked with the engine temperature. But I think after a few mins driving the engine temperature will not increased any more but the knocking amount is keep rising.

I use NGK copper plugs (BCPR7E) and gapped to 0.8mm.

Could anybody know what's wrong with my safc ( or my car)? Any suggestion is welcome.

Cheers
