They will do you no matter what, so let

the ambulance crash the curb to get around.

thats just ****ing stupid! every second counts so get the **** outta the way!

i am sure the picture will show u over the line and the ambulance will most probably be in the pic too so i dont think they will get u for it!!!!

I think the cameras are still used in rotation around the metro area, as there are more camera boxes than actual cameras to put in them. so every red light camera intersection isn't necessarily 'armed'. there used to be only six cameras in Perth but I'm sure there would be far more now. Anyway, moving on...

my 2c worth!

always check the photo with the police, because they get it wrong heaps as already said. the pictures are very clear because they snap you from about 30 to 40m away?

they gave me a fine for a car that i had sold a couple months before, as the jerk i sold it to didn't transfer the rego. i went to DOPI in the city and signed a stat declaration saying it wasn't me driving, sent that to the police and haven't heard from since. didn't even need to give the details of the other driver!!

now i have a RX65 radar detector and havn't had a fine for months, works a treat, for line of sight.

My mum use to work in the camera section for the cops, and for xmas / birthday she gave me a framed copy of my first ever speeding fine. Was pretty funny.

But whats better than a photo of yourself from a multinova?

Photos of the multinova operators:

Taken one rainy night on way home. Was cruising along at 60, and detector goes off so I slow down to 40 and for the operator I floor it and get wheels spinning. The multinova flashes, and I look down at speedo and I'm just doing a tad over 60 and thinking wtf. So I go home (two streets away) pick up my camera and take 5 shots of the guy while driving past.

This guy was funny. In the morning I saw him setting it up so I yelled out some abuse, tooted my horn etc. The typical shit they get from most people. Then I find myself coming back the opposite direction in the morning, so I pull out my camera and yell out more abuse and when I got home to look at the pics I find the guy is pulling the bird!!! Hell yeah!!

hahahaha nice work MattyP love the pics.

ive seen pretty funny stuff infront of multanovas, there was one on the freeway one sunday morning next to the city northbound, and this worked vk commodore was infront of me. he saw camera from a fair distance, slowed to about 60, then layed big long fishtails infront of it, had me and mate laughing and applauding, it was class.

Being stupid in front of a multinova is NOT a good idea.

A carload of my mates went past a multinova not that long ago, one of them mooned it and the other one way yelling abuse and giving the finger.

The guy was only setting up, but managed to get a photo of the car.

The 2 abusing passengers were fined 3 points 100 dollars and one lost his licence.

I dont think the multinova guy really cares, its his job after all.

    • I did a skidpan night at SMSP this week, it was much cheaper than $350. But yeah, you need to slap an LSD in that thing.  I put an OS Giken in the 370Z and it's f**king MARVELOUS even compared to Nissan's viscous LSD. So you're saying it's free now that it's a housing estate? 😂
    • Nah, the car seems to run exactly as it did prior, in saying this it does "seem" to be better down low, like more eager to rev, but that may be 100% placebo effect from intake noise But, I'm not worried about it at all, in the end it is a fairly low compression NA engine that has a well shrouded intake,  if it is getting hotter IAT I cannot notice anything negative performance wise from the seat of my pants thrashing it about on the street or sitting in traffic, so meh, car now now makes induction noise so I'm happy
    • Do you have an IAT sensor? It's worth checking it to see. You may be suprised how little gap you actually need to flood your engine with hot air. (I tape up my airbox for a reason) :p
    • @KinkstaahKrinkle paint the "silver" alloy, not the red filter frame Engine bay heat won't be a issue worth worrying about as the silver alloy blocks it off on 3 sides, as for the top, the bonnet seals most of it and the big OEM CAI intake snorkel is still fitted in its original position  I will head into Clark's Rubber when I have some time to grab some pinch weld to tidy up the alloy after I paint it As for performance, I honestly wasn't expecting any, the only reason I got it is because the intake noise sounds cool to my old ears when I'm feeding it the beans Sometimes it's the silly things you do in in life that gives the most fun, and I do love anything that makes cool car noises In other news: I survived 4 nights at sea with Jackie not throwing me over board, holidays are continuing now as we are currently chilling at the Beachcomber in Toukley, after taking the coast roads from Sydney in the MX5, top down all the way, Toukley is where I spent a good deal of my youth holidaying during the summer months, there's lots of reminiscing going on,  and lots of beaches and old houses to visit Next on the list is to head to Batemans Bay for a few days, but we will take the Commodore out to stretch its legs, then Commodore hasn't really moved for months
    • There’s probably people who’d like to do it and then when it comes to putting their hands in their pockets they’ll all disappear into the shadows
