That's a whole set of four. Price may have gone up a little but there is nothing wrong with the quality or the braking feel or power. The disc s are wearing very evenly and no signs of cracking after 5 trackdays. Ask Duncan how well it was braking at Phillip Island last weekend, and on road tyres I have been outbraking HQ racecars at PI as well. I do use Racebrakes pads with no backing shims for better feel/less pedal travel and heel toe into the corners (with a different pedal pad setup) but the car is stable and well balanced under brakes.

Try this for an idea on price...

http://www.discpads.com.au

click on "Get Parts" on the left

That sounds like a great price. I'd be looking at something like that if the same shop was around my way.

Just out of interest what's no backing shim ? (or where does the backing shim sit?)

Thanks mate.

Most brake and clutch places can source them, the rears are apparently identical to a HSV model. I think they are RDA (rotors and drums).

The shims are a shiny thin plate that goes on the backs of the pads to reduce squealing but mine got warped at the back from the heat of running the rears to metal on metal at a trackday. The pads were half thickness but just disintegrated on the inside rears. Braking was still good on track but horrendous on the road with no heat. Braking feel is improved without them and they are about $200 new. Who cares about a bit of noise. They don't seem to squeal any more than before.

Pads and fluid are important as well. Racebrakes RD74 front and Comp2 rear and MOTUL DOT5.1 fluid.
