Hey guys,

I'm a total newbie when it comes to nissans. (Just sold my MA70 and JZA70 supras and bought a R32 GTST) Now, I want to replace the RB20 with a 25 from an R33, is it a straight plug-and-play affair?

Can I use the RB20 wiring loom, transmission, mounts etc.?

Basically, I can't afford to have the car off the road for more than a coupla days and so the plan is to have the RB25 built (forgies, cams, fuel system and big-ass turbo) in a workshop and then installed as a straight swap when completed.

Will a RB20 Power FC run the whole shebang, or do i need one for a RB25, and will it plug into the loom?

And FINALLY, what sorta power will the R32 'box hold?

Thanks for any help you can give.

hate to rain on your parade but unfortunately mostly the answer is no. The gearbox, especially the clutch don't cope for too long with a heavy footed driver and an RB20. The box will have to switch as well. The diff is just as an essential a swap, as this is just as likely to go. The RB25 electronics have to come aswell, although i am (unfortunatley) not very familiar with the Apexi Power FC.

Are you getting a half cut or just an engine?

Even if you are getting just the engine, it should come with the essentials.

Cheers.

Have fun... this is what I plan on doing once I am of off my P's

The diff is fine,The R32 wiring is fine just change the injector plugs and run the 2 wires for the VVT solinoid then plug in the R33 PFC(can use R32), If you have an S2 RB25 you need to fit your RB20 coils and module to the 25(1/2 hour work tops)If you use the R32 PFC i can sell you a controller for the VVT cheap so it is still easy.RB20 box will be ok if you are gentle but if thats the case you would not want the extra power so change it if you can.
