Hi does anyone have any experience with Haltech E6K???Any comments. Technically on paper it seems to be good. How does it compare with say power fc?

Is it reliable and constant in its performance?

Is there any good haltech tuners in melbourne because i heard that its tuning software is quite complicated.

By the way does anyone have the address or telephone of Hypertech(formerly BGT) in Vermont South?

Thanks.... :)

Speedo, i know two people using the EK6 who are very happy with it, Lepperfish on these forums fitted one to his R33 GTST it it goes pretty well. It was fitted and tuned in Sydney, not sure about Melb but they certainly seem to be a good ECU

Might be worth chatting to some reputable import tuners in your area and seeing what ECU they recommend.

Fitted one in a VL Commondoor with an RB-20 in it and tuned it with no real dramas. You can't really compare the Haltech with the Power FC, as the P-FC will plug straight in, ease on install is a lot easier. Haltech you need to pin off specific wires, or create a new harness for the engine.

Advantage with the Haltech is the cost, around $1,500.oo for the whole kit with loom, sensors etc. All you need to buy is a 2-Bar Map sensor.

Speedo, what car do you have?

If your considering cost mainly then check out the micro tech. it may even be slightly cheaper than the haltech. You'll be able to plug and play if you have a 33.

Either way, from what ive seen from my car and others, there is little point spending the extra cash on a Power FC. Tuning with the FC hand controller takes longer than computer tuning and adds cost also, so ive heard.
