Yep. It's a b*tch. But the alternative to to spend something like $150 for a "new" one... It took me 3 attempts with a stanley blade lol!

If you want to save the pain first, take out the light bar and use a multimeter to test the connector sitting in your wing. Get a mate to press the brake pedal or something. It's probably wasting time, but if it doesn't show up 12 volts then there's a wire problem.
