Thermostat stuck open?

Hi All,

Something interesting has been happening to my car of late. It takes forever to warm up, for a start... It used to take about 5 - 10 minutes, now it takes 15 - 20 before the needle comes up half way. Also, when driving through cold patches (such as down vic pass, quickly ) the temp gauge drops quite significantly. I'm wondering if the thermostat is stuck open.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like it is to me..

I had that happen on my old car (VR Calais), just wouln't warm up to normal temp... replaced thermostat since it was stuck open and started working again..

Shouldn't be too expensive... < $100
