i'll take it that either no one has had any negative experiences or have never been there then.

Reason being, the car was taken there to get a RWC by the seller (on Weds) and it passed. i had got an RACV test on it the day before (Tues) and it listed a few problems with it. Anyway, i had clutch issues a few hours after i picked it up on Friday (gear select issues on a twin plate installed 4 months prior at Amberleys). So on the Saturday i took it to my mechanic. He said there was heaps of things that shouldnt have passed....namely:

- chipped and pitted windscreen

- front left inner c/v boot split

- holes in spare wheel well

On the monday i called Amberleys and spoke to Ian Weightman(who runs the place) and he said bring it down. He quickly looked at the car and said that it wasnt like that and implied that i had caused them. I told him it was written in an RACV report done the day before. Still he refused to acknowledge. I told him i would take further action with Vic Roads and he said he was fine with that. So off i went....

I went back to my mechanics and got another RWC done and it failed. Some other items found included:

- turbos leaking oil onto exhaust

- excessive play in rear steering

I was given the pink sheet to indicate it failed and faxed it with the RACV report and Amberley's RWC to the Roadworthy department.

A few days later i get a call from an inspector who had already spoken to Ian and advised me to take the car back. On Friday i took the car back and picked it up in the afternoon. I was told that c/v boot was replaced, windscreen fixed, and turbo hoses tightened. I drove straight back to my mech as the clutch still hadnt been fixed.

On Sat i was told turbo is still leaking, holes still in spare wheel well, excessive play still remains, and the windscreen needed to be replaced cos it was pitted (and it was a half ass job repairing the crack cos it was still there). So i called the inspector on Monday.

Today i got a call from my mechanic who told me that the the inspector came down and checked out the car and took picturs of it including under the car on all the oil spots. He will be getting in touch with Ian shortly.

Things arent looking good for Amberleys...either suspend their RWC licence or it will get revoked. I had given them plenty of opportunities. Ian shouldnt have been so arrogant towards me in the first place. Suffer!

P.S. if you actually read all the way through that, i am impressed! You are ok in my books! haha

For legal reasons, we can't have people posting up "negative feedback" in regards to businesses on a public forum.

You all know the way it goes....... if anyone wants to say anything incriminating, do it via pm. :)
