Advice on quotes to fix rims.

I have DTM 18s, as you can just make out in my avatar.

Today I went and got two quotes to have some scratches taken out, and received two completely different prices. The first quote was around what I expected at $100.00 per rim. However the second place quoted $300.00 per rim, saying the paint is worth over $1000.00 / litre.

Does this sound right? If this is correct, will the $100.00 job ruin the look of the wheels?

I can't really justify spending $1200.00 to fix a set of rims that aren't thaaat badly damaged, especially when I could pick up a set of 34 GTR rims for ~$2000.00.

where can you get them from ? i would love a set for that even with a few scratches , are they that cheap there ? do you know someone that wants to sell them for $2000?
