Turbo has sadly died, need help!!!!

My turbo kicked it in today

basically lots of smoke, and now the boost guage is on 0 and doesn't deviate, what i'm wanting to know is, i badly need the car to drive this weekend, but can't put it in to get fixed till monday, is it dangerous/unsafe to drive it with the turbo in this state? or does it basically mean i just won't have the extra power of the turbo till i get it fixed... also should i just get another stock turbo put back in ? or a better one?

and what price would i be looking at for this sort of repair?

any advice/help greatly appreciated!!

Yes Def get a new/better turbo installed!!

Look out for examples being sold on this forum with a T3 flange to suit Rb25 application..

If you are chasing more power then def get a bigger turbo.

If you just want the problem fixed and are not looking for much more power over 180 ~200rwkw then I reckon just get another 2nd hand one

or get it rebuilt @ GCG, I think it's around $900ish.

I drove over 200 k's with the ceramic in the cat, just check the oil level lots and keep the rpm down.

yeah i drove bout 30k's with a blown turbo, found the exh wheel in the cat when i took of the dump pipe. You feel like a tool blowing so much white smoke tho
