I have a minor but frustrating gear selection issue at the moment that I thought I'd run past you all, perhaps you've experienced something similar or have a known cure for it. I had a new Daiken Exedy H/D clutch installed about 2 months ago. Clutch works well, but immediately after the installation first gear became quite difficult to select. You have to push the shifter quite hard and have three or four attempts to get it into gear. Alternatively, its easier to select third and then with the clutch still in it will go straight into first. The really strange thing is that if your in first or second and have to brake strongly, putting the clutch in at the last moment to prevent stalling it becomes quite difficult to get out of gear...and on occasions with the clutch fully in will start to move off...like an auto in drive at idle! The slave cylinder is not leaking and the system has been bled twice so it shouldnt be either of those issues and only does this after putting the clutch in later than in normal driving.

Changing gears is fine once on the move and things improve as the box warms up. Prior to the new clutch, I had no syncro issues, no gear change issues. It was the normal, occasionally notchy GTR 5 speed. I have had the rod linking the clutch pedal to the clutch master cylinder adjusted and this seemed to make some difference but not a lot. I am running redline lightweight shockproof gear oil. Has anyone experienced anything similar or have any ideas? I have already done a number of searches on this site for help but can find nothing that offers a cure...
