If anyone could help, I am finding if very hard to find any good links on the web of Japanese aftermarket second hand parts, or for that fact new parts aswell that are priced good enough to purchase from. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

Thanks Guys

Japanese websites don't usually send internationally... thats why guys like "Nengun", "Greenline" (do a search, theres about eleventy billion threads already, posted at a rate of about 763 a month, all asking the same question) can stay in business.

Thats a bit open to interpretation? I take it you only want to get "slightly ripped off", rather than "bent over"? :)

Tried the Yahoo Auctions? The sellers wont send direct to you, but an agent can help you buy all the parts you want and then arrange to have them sent to you in Australia. Big range of parts, and some excellent prices on used parts.

Yahoo auctions are great. Since I cant read any Japanese, I just clicked all the the buttons. Theres some weird stuff on there!

Use the below link for translating from Japanese to English. Just click the second tab underneath the field where you paste the website address. Be prepared for some unusual sentences though! It will give you a good indication of what the item for sale is however.

Hey Rezz or any guys in Japan, in your experience of stores like 'super autobacs' and 'up garage', are they like an 'Autobarn' and a bit of a rip off?
SuperAutobacs: more like an "Autobarn" but eleventy billion times better (and better staffed!) The prices vary from RRP - recommended retail to 10 - 15% off new prices... they often do this to move stagnant stock. SuperAutobacs stocks new gear, but they do have "used" stores called "Autobacs Seco-han Ichiba" which only deal with near-new or used parts (sometimes very cheap stuff eg: my alloy wheels, SAU member "Mooks" Kei Office coil overs)

Hi Anthony! Where are your pic of your Osaka trip?:)

Up Garage: basically the same as "Autobacs Seco-han Ichiba" used parts stores. The prices vary from decent to quite cheap. The general condition of their parts I'd class as near-new... depends on what you're looking for eg: coil overs sometimes have quite noticable wear, as do some of the wheels/tyres and seats and aero kits for that matter.

You WON'T get ripped of if you choose carefully on Yahoo Japan auctions or look around Up Garage, Crystal (Tokyo) or Autobacs Seco-han Ichiba.

Rezz, the Autobarns in QLD are getting alot better now, last time I went in there they had quite alot of nice go fast bits, I talked to the manager and he confirmed that they had become Official supllier for Greddy, Trust, Blitz, Uras and Apex.

The only problem now is that you see a few Commodores getting around with the Trust stickers... and you shake your head :)
