rmc02
Yeah - I drive a silver R32. I will have to have a look at what speeds I am on other parts of the circuit. The software isn't on this computer. I run the state series primarily with the occasional national event (Went to Bathurst this year but would never go back. They just give you no track time) I run #31. Poakey
Duncan: You talking car speed or wheel speed! If you looked at my wheel speed on entry to turn 2 compared to on exit you'd think I had 1000rwkw :flower: Unofficialy I've run about 1:13 when folowing Daz around, but I wasn't happy with the pads I was running at the time and hope to go quicker on the 1/11. I've also got some half decent road rubber to use this time compared to the junk I was running last time. Duncan
hahaha Poakey....try 3rd gear coming out of there instead, wheelspin problem solved, and you don't have to worry about a gear change while coming out of the sweeper New tyres will help heaps...but I think you will find that brakes just slow you down Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/52537-the-horseshoe-at-wakefield/page/2/#findComment-1059412 Share on other sites

Craved
LOL duncan - i get wheelspin out of the sweeper in 3rd ... time for good tyres Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/52537-the-horseshoe-at-wakefield/page/2/#findComment-1059453 Share on other sites
Poakey
Duncan: 3rd gear just means I need to hit the handbrake earlier and carry more speed into the corner otherwise I bog down on exit and the car straightens out! fatz: If borrowing a friends car is instantly worth 10km/h, then I ought to take a hire car for the day. I could blow straight past the 1:10 barrier and aim for some 1:08's! Not to mention that if we all got the same stock rentals we could have an awesome control class! Any takers?! rmc02
thats cool Ryan.. i help out number 42i have seen your car at every event but couldn't make out who it was! how was bathurst in the FF - did you have to lift the car at all? will catch up with at round one next if not on a cruise before hand! Bathurst Was a nightmare. We got treated like crap. The first pratice session we got 4 laps and qualifying we got 5. Race 1 got reduced to 3 laps with one behind the safety car. The 2nd race was only 7 laps with another 2 behind the pace car. Some of the driving was pretty bad - but on the other hand they give young drivers 9 laps to learn a track like Bathurst and dont expect carnage. If the V8's are running at an event I wouldn't enter. They dont mind taking your money but give you sweet F.A. in return. We didn't have to lift the car at all. Didn't bottom out anywhere. I will see you at the track sometime Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/52537-the-horseshoe-at-wakefield/page/2/#findComment-1059571 Share on other sites

Poakey
For starters there no way I'm challenging Duncan in a Lanos, that'd be like telling schumaker he drives his ferrari slower than my Granma! What about smart cars  At least the racing would be close. It would come down to who can push fastest Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/52537-the-horseshoe-at-wakefield/page/2/#findComment-1060848 Share on other sites

someonestolecc
isn't mx5 challenge some thing they provide you with cars? I'd be up for mx5 action - something you can keep your foot straight to the floor with and not be scared of hitting 300 before a corner.
