Light has come up on my dash this morning. RH side of cluster, bottom row, on the very left. It looks like a house with long windows kind of?? To the left of the exhaust warning light and oil light. Might get some pics up tonight if no one can help out.

Low water in your radiator over flow bottle or somethinng along those lines, i overheated mine once and that warning came up, filled overflow bottle back up and didn't have any other issues

i was wondering what that light was for too.. with my conversion the i'm using the r32 over flow bottle and its not conected to the wiring (why bother) i might just remove the bulb. one small mystery crossed of the list...

Is anyone elses battery light on constantly?  I've always got heaps of charge to crank it over and I left it standing for a couple of months and it was fine

My bet would be that your alternator will give way in couple of weeks time. Thats what happened with mine, I believe boof has gone through a few too.

yerp word to that, 4 in a bout 3 months or something stupid!! it results from the regulater being to slow to regulate so kills the alternators pretty quickly i beleive!!

Coolness. The light went off straight away after restarting this morning. Just got home from a 30 min drive back from g/f's house and the light came on for a while, then went out. I checked coolant today and it was fine, but will top up over flow bottle tomorrow.

Hmm... the battery light has been on since I got the car and I've been driving it daily for 12,000km in 6 or 7 months.

You checked that all your wiring to the alternator is connected?? Sounds like some dodgy wiring going on there somewhere maybe, i know when my alternators are going to die, cause all my warning lights on my dash come on, door lights the works!! Silly dr's

The reason that all the dash lights come up is the bulb-check sequence. There is a relay hooked up to the alternator & battery that is only energised when the alternator isn't charging. Hence when your alternator dies, not only do you get the charge light illuminated - all the other lamps come up too (except the high beam & cat converter temp from memory).

The original almp in question is the low coolant overflow warning lamp. Chances are that if yours doesn't work the bulb is gone - I replaced about 4 when I got my DR to get them all working.

The bulb-check sequence reveals all! :D
