There are plenty of ways to skin a cat...so there are plenty of turbos that will do a good job.

Many ppl have good results with HKS 2510 or 2530s, then there are GCG 450hp Hi-Flows, then there is the Trust T517z, Apexi AX53...or an off the shelf 320hp Garret turbo.

Id be inclined to go with a 320-380hp Garret turbo, Hi-Flow or a HKS turbo. Whilst i dont think ball bearing turbos are the end all be all i think if given the opportunity they are a good thing if they fit your budget.

These sorts of turbos will net you 200-215rwks @1.0-1.2 bar (remembering that a std RB20 has arounf 110-120rwkws) . With a neat intercooler, a 3" exhaust, a better flowing filter and a re-chip or SAFC you will be on your way.

The money you save on injectors can go towardss a better clutch, and if you ever get bored of the power there is always a market fotr the HKS or GCG Hi-Flow turbos.

Hell if you use forged pistons then some of the above turbos work really well at 1.2-1.4bar, something i highhly doubt a VG30 will do. From things i have read VG30s are lucky to make 180rwks
