I get popping from my exhaust when i hit high revs

Hey guys, yeah i get popping noises from my exhaust when i hit the high revs and in turn stops pulling at that point. i was told it was my car pinging. Wat u think is d problem? at the moment my car has a hks t2835 turbo, 3 inch full exhaust sytem.remaped chip...and pod filter...das all... i hvae my high boost set on 14psi...but it still pops on low boost which hits 10 psi....please help

hmmm i'd heard that the popping was cause skylines run rich and sometimes don't burn all the fuel. But not sure in your case. I'm no expert on this stuff...could it be detonating then the comp retards the timing or something??

Could be a number of things,

Spark Plugs - Gap them to .7

Coil Packs - Need to tape them up with electrical tape because the spark is arking out the side.

As shif_tea said it could be a fuel problem and dumping too much fuel in - SAFC II will fix this.

AirFlow Meter, A Faulty wire or dirty connection can cause a missfire/hesitation's

The list goes on.

Take it to a mechanic and get them too look at it, But if you want to try and fix it your self start with the spark plugs & coil packs.

You do have at least a 500hp fuel pump?? how high a revs are we talking 7500, 8200 ?? or else take it back to the mech who put the chip in and tell him that the car is farked and he must fix it or you will get very angry at him and not be his friend anymorw.. works for me..

This could be the problem, my mates r32 was running so rich, he had this similar problem, they re-tuned & shaved it down a tad, & the problem dissipated!
