has anyone heard of the name JASPA .. i've got it on my exhaust ... just wondering what it was ... and if anyone is familiar with it??

I'm pretty sure its something to do with japanese emssion laws, i believe its something like a certification that the exhaust complies with the regulations. I think its JASMA though

I'm pretty sure JASMA has got something to do with the maximum dB output an exhaust is allowed to emit.

e.g. an exhaust is JASMA certified, which means it complies with noise emission laws...

.. someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Jasma is a company that makes exhausts. They sell their own, plus supply to 5Ziggen who rebadge them. I think maybe to a couple other too.

Who's emission laws? If this is certified jasma trust exhaust, it certainly isn't Australias.

But I am not 100%. Just going on what others have told me.

definately not australia's i'm certain of that but mines not noisy (except for when i gun it). so i would guess that emission/noise laws in japan are almost similar to ours. i havent got mine tested for db and stuff like that but i assume it should be ok... should be...

My muffler has a little badge on it too on the underside that says something about JASMA ... dunno what it is though. The exhaust is certainly aftermarket.

think about this again....

how can that be possible when 80% of imports which come over have aftermarket exhausts/mufflers... and 50% of those need to be changed to meet RWC's?(as they are way to loud)

I am 100% sure the laws regarding emissions/noise over in japan are very lenient. That being the total opposite to australia
