last night there were a line of commodores at the lights turning left going to the splanade and me in my line and another were mocked verbally by this "gang whores" -- one on a V8 recons his car would eat mine alive while doing a high revs-- AS IF --i just looked at the guy and gave him a nod and put my window up-- that's one of the reason why i have those dark tints.HE HE..i mean, hey...just finished work...no need for this.

Who saw the Concept Holden Torana on the international motor show..i'd say it's pretty sweet...but then again...it's just another 2 door commodore with $3M price tag.

Just like that d1ckhead in the clubsport thats supposed to be 700hp and he spent $120,000k on it (number plate > BIG RIG), my mates 180sx cooked it and i've seen it beaten so easy by the ' broke (number plate) ' supra, though that thing is running a t88-34d forgies, and gas :D . The thing i hate about commonwhore drivers is that they think they're the best, thats it, unbeatable. I dont care what car anyone's driving, aslong as they're out having a good time and not writing off everyone else. Just because I drive a skyline doesn't mean everythig else is shit, though i just wish the majority of commonwhore drivers saw it that way.

Have you ever mocked by pedestrians for driving a Skyline ? because i have... Last night at 11pm.. at Mooloolaba.. big pedestrians crossing near roundabout..i gave way to a few dickheads so they can cross,. walking along looking at my line and one speaks.. " oohhh,..Skyline,.there's too many around..i would never get one "--- and once again,.in a loud voice -- " Too many people driving a Skyline-- too common-- Skylines everywhere... im sick of skylines ".

WAT DA...??? i'd say.

and once again,..gave the guy a nod and wind my window up and drove off.

i own a nice Honda...but i rather drive my line...i'm proud of it.

lol, basicly those type of ppl are the ones who are either 1)jealous that they dont have a skyline or 2)think that their car is the best car in the world, which is usually something a lot worse and probably more common than skylines. Dont worry about it I get it all the time, I just smile and nod. They generally get more annoyed when they dont think it affects you :P

hey 33NIZ..saw your car out on Sat. night,..i was at work then, my workmate saw it first and he was like,." did u see that ?" ha ha.. told him i tried to follow you the other night and he called me a "stalker ".

sweet,.sweet ride indeed...still hopin to cruize along with u one of these days.

CMY32 belongs to a good real mate of mine ford ( yes thats his name ) he was one of the first people on the sunny coast to have a skyline, its been round for years and years ( poor car gets raped :( ) The black r32 belongs to a guy named chris, and there's to many silver r33's around to tell who that belongs to, we're usually crusing with those guys all the time. :P

yea if any of you guys see us out dont hesitate to stop and say hi :wavey:!

CMY32 (maroon 32 GTST): His names ford and as matt said he's a great guy. He works at JB Hifi as well so if any of u guys need a good price, go down to him and he'll help ya out.

Spotted some of you blokes hanging out at Alex yesterday arvo.

yea we were parked on the hill for a while. The white pearl Chaser (mark II) and my 33...next time stop and say hi, as josh said we dont bite...:D

I'm not sure who the white line belongs to but its allways parked at our untis, i've been meaning to talk to the guy but i dont see him much, i think his girlfriend must live here, its just parked along the front of our units all the time. The black one i dont know either, its totally stock and its allways parked out the front of some units aswell. Yeah if you see the boys parked at caltex pull up and have a chat, we dont bite :D :D I see you go past my unit about 10 times a day Roger, one of these days i'm gonna run out and stop ya :)

Heh infact you just went past, bastard (8:41pm)

yeah.. i went to pick my brother up from work..he finished at 8:30pm.. make sure you give us a wave next time you see me.. as i said,. i like taking my line to work..i often drive my line than my civic.

say,. there's this Black r33 always park in front of 240 volts..im thinking perhaps he works at the Kebabs place or sumtin ? and the other day,.at starbucks..i parked my line there..and next to me was another dark silver r33 with "TOY 33" plate on it.. looks pretty nice..i wanted to see it go but i run out of time and had to head back to work.

indeed,. a lot of line driving around the coast.

    • I would like more noise related info for my truly uneducated guess  Does it do it at idle or when revving, clutch engaged, and disengaged? Does it only do it when the car is moving? I've heard "similar" noises from a clutch pack that left the chat room, and CV joints that have chewed themselves out But as Matt said, how's the yokes, tailshaft and centre bearing going after their last little issue Fingers crossed it is something simple  Weird noises make me cringe
    • One other question, is there a chance that changing the idle speed can lead you down a rabbit hole and is the reason the tuner didn't touch it? Reason I ask is because if that's the reason the tuner avoided it then I probably shouldn't be touching it lol.
    • Pfft. As if I'd ever point a high pressure washer at my car.
    • The nature of my commute has changed. Way back then it was traffic lights all the way, for ~28km. It sucked. When they finally stitched the expressway together I could do a good 15+km of it at a steady 80-100 with no stopping. That alone has gotten me down to flat 10s. Prior to that it was mid-high 10s. I can't remember the delta that I saw when I got the idle down. It was only ~150 rpm, because the idle speed was never terrible, but for the delta in consumption to be noticeable it would have had to have been at least 0.2-0.3 L/100km - which is not to be sneezed at when it comes for absolute free. It's only about 50L per year, but that's ~$100. A few extra pizzas is always welcome. Note that I have a record of every tank of fuel that has ever gone through my car except for a handful put in by someone else, like my mechanic. I can show you the difference between stock RB20 and tuned RB20, stock RB5Neo and tuned, winter and summer fuel blends, winter and summer fuel blends when the ambient temperature is not appropriate for the blend, working O2 sensor, blown O2 sensor, boosting f**k out of it and frightened to boost it because it is pinging, and so on. OK, I probably can't do all that now with 100% clarity - but at the time when any of those things were in event, you could see it in the records. There's 25+ years of simple tank after tank records, so you have to look for landmarks to work out approximately how old any single record is. What's really important is the meta data and that lives in my head.
    • If you're claiming the issues are not skyline specific, then either the USA is living in the 90s / early 2000s, OR you have the issue of "survivor bias". Which is you're mainly hearing and listening to those with terrible experiences, and haven't found the guys who have cars with good decent builds and no problems. It happens in AU too, that plenty of people keep having issues, and they keep going to the workshops that are known to be shit "because I read on the internet". Even worse, are those who keep posting on the internet as though they know for a fact what something is, when they've never touched/looked at said item in their life, and again are making assumptions, based on something they read, or because it's a certain way in other cars. It's even funnier when those same people debate the facts with the people who've lived and breathed this stuff for over 15 years. Example, I've had someone tell me you can't do something with a Skyline, because they read it on the internet, except I can tell they're wrong, as I did that exact thing back in 2008 with my Skyline.
