AFMs are 'self cleaning' and as such should be pretty much maintenance free. But if you have a problem, or can see excessive build up on it by all means give it a CAREFULL clean.

Because plenty of people have stuffed things up fixing things that aint broke. A MAF meter is a fairly delicate piece of gear, it doesn't take much to screw up the element. My advice is still (as posted above) if there is no problem with how the car runs, and no visible crap on the wire, leave it be :rolleyes:

If not, try toshis method.
