Hey everyone im looking at purchasing a pretty stock R32 GTS-T either from japan or locally , im just interested how much everyone paid for theirs.

Im sceptical on importing my own because i dont know how much should be allowed for everything other than the auction price of the car.

Help appreciated.

I imported a 1989 R32 GTS-T Type M 5 Speed 62000kms

No damage

I made the decision to buy a non-modifyed car as it reckon it would have been treated a little better than one that has been modded.

Cost $9,900 from the auction to my door step, that included insurance for the transport overseas, I waited about 6 months.

I live in Canberra, got the car delivered to Melbourne, I had already arranged a company to do all the required roadworthy.

That cost about $2,500 (I think may have been cheaper)

Then I got a freight company to ship it to Canberra cost $100

Got the car fully serviced first time to get it checked for any problems

That service was about $1,200 because I needed new timing belt and water pump (labour intensive)

Then Rego ontop of that here is about $650

So what that's about $14,500 on road.

Bought and imported an r32 gtst type m through prestiege motorport in wa. ended up paying 12k by the time the car was on the road with rego greenslip and all the complience work. The car is over 15 years old so when i say complience i dont mean the sevs stuff just the 15 year old rule. Very happy with what i got and geoff from prestiege motorsport was always happy to assist me with any questions i had. which was alot seeing as though i was crappin myself over forking out my hard earned $ for something that i had only seen over the net. but when the car got here after abut a 6month wait it was exactly as they had described it. I have friends who have also used geoff and have been more than impressed with the service he provides.

bought a 1989 r32 gtst with 120,000 on the clock, manual, full trust exhaust and air filter for $6500. however like someone said above there are A LOT oef extras. heres the list:

- engineer certificate ($1400)

- blue slip ($80)

- towing to engineers shop and then to my house (around $200)

- air con degas ($300)

- staorage as sydney docks for a week ($160)

- rego (around $1000)

- service (around $400 for oil, filter, fuel filter, spark plugs etc)

then when i went to go and get the blue slip yesterday i found out that i need to get 2 rust spots fixed...theres another $500

so its probably around the same price as buying a cheap one here but u have to wait a long time. also you can look at the car and inspect it before you buy which is a mojor advantage
