Ah, now THAT looks more like it... good spotting :D But does it fit? Is it the right length etc? Basically need someone to be a guinea pig and try it out ;)

They (Whiteline) do call the KTA117 a "Rear upper control arm", and the application listing lists the R33 and R34, so that makes the 117 sound more appropriate for the job... but it doesn't have the bend. So either might work... if the 128 doesn't fit then maybe you could exchange it for the 117.

Another member (think it was 'rb') had a bad experience with KTA118 and was told by the suspension shop that there was no bushed-style control arm available from whiteline for stagea rear camber... but it would appear that you've found two good possibilities there.

Cool thanks, didn't see them. But they're not a bushed type setup are they? And they seem to be fairly close in price to a pair of KTA117/KTA128 (although I haven't verified that yet - waiting for someone to get back to me, hopefully around $200-250 delivered).

no bushes with them so they will need attention but cheaper than new tyres.

i picked up a set of similar type for $100 or so and they seem to be going fine over 12mths but no doubt they may get noisy in the future and may need attention.

if you get a bushed version it will be interesting to see how they go. they should prove to be the best solution if the price is right.

"Believe half of what you see, and nothing of what you hear!" as the KTA128's look like they should do the business

I haven't had my car in for an alignment (crazy festive season) since fitting the offset bushes, but I can say that visually, the rear tires appear to be nice and square

As always, I will share my experience when alignment is performed

cheers Richard, I'm interested to see if you can get rid of enough negative camber with the bushes. Could you remind me again, do you have a series 1 or 2? It seems to be the series 2's that show too much negative camber?

richard what are these offset bushes you talk of? do they fix the neg camber after you have lowered the car? what do they do for the toe?

To fix the camber issues I need to get adjustable camber arms and toe arms correct? I was thinking Id get isc's cos you can get both for $338.

need to work out what im going to do about camber as im getting new tyres and wheels soon and dont want to chew out the inside edges to quickly :S

my KTA128's get here tomorrow afternoon and will be going straight in. i originaly purchased superpro camber bushes for the rear but could not be assed pulling the hub out to install the outer bushes ($330 inc gst). Kidafa, i am getting my arms from cartorque on north tce at kent town, have used them before and recommend them.

i fitted a set of eccentric bushes and they don't go close to enough adjustment on a S2 stagea (but they were fine for my R33).

the camber arms were the only way to get enough adjustment for my purposes. btw this is with a 370mm wheel to arch rear height so not low at all.

Ahh, so we have a guinea pig. Let us know how they go. What did you pay for the KTA128's?

Exactly the situation I was afraid of... I'm out of max rear factory adjustment and STILL -1.5mm (too much!) at ~395mm. 370 would not be low at all.

fitted like a dream! :D easy as to install and heaps of adjustment. might paint them black for that stealth look though  . getting new tyres and a alignment firs up in the morning. they cost $290ish inc.

That is great stuff. Great stuff! Series 1 or 2? Not that it matters really (should fit both?), just wondering. So rear camber problems solved; price not toooo bad... I might have to call Cartorque next week.

s1 and s2 are the same. my hight at the rear is 360mm and my aligner set the rears at -0.5 each and still had heaps of adjustment. highly recommended. didnt have them in stock, had them freighted in overnight.

Excellent

Series 1 - 350mm wheel centre to guard

Super Poly Pro , Remove some neg camber , I believe that it increases toe in, as it pushes the top of the tyre out

Offset bushes will only remove so much

The bushes can be removed with a two-leg puller without removing the hub
