Dam these Bloody skylines!!! I wasnt even into cars before i bought one, i didnt even know ANYTHING about cars before i bought one. I bought my modded GTST and the power scared me so much i nearly sold the thing right away *my first car was a 60kw Excel then a 200 rwkw skyline, but after time the power just kept feeling less & less and all I can think about now is my next mod. I fall asleep thinking of how to get my car faster... Dam these skylines, they make modding a car more addictive than crack. I want to have a 11 sec car... but if i get my gtst maxed out for 11's , i'll only want 10s!! Dam these machines, addictiveness sent from hell. Now i just wana get a GTR so i can make some serious horsepower & probably blow ALL my money on having a ridiculously quick car. I need to be satisfied with what i got... AHHHHHHH:crazy:

haha... maybe crack will be a cheaper habit

Anything will feel slow after a while.. When your line feels slow, drive and excel or a barina for a week then hop back into your line.. It will feel as fast as hell!!!!!

SAU does not condone the use of crack :jk:

who here actually drives an excel for a week just to get sky-high again?

If your worried about getting addicted to "skylining" then choose a less addictive (and less costly) habit, such as Gambling, drinking or maybe become an adrenaline junkie and start skydiving (avoid the pun)

Guys I drive a 1982 Ford laser all week to work and back!

On Friday night my urge to drive my 340 rwhp skyline is stronger than any addiction to any drug :-)

And yes the line feels a whole heap faster on the 1st day when you have been driving a laser all week... by sunday you are used to it all over again... then back to the ooooold laser :-( It's monday and I am already having withdrawal symptoms...... i need a hit of skyline please Mr Dealer ahahah :-)

I feel the pain. I was so proud of myself, being able to save money, till i bought my skyline. Now it only stays in my bank long enough till i can afford a power fc, intercooler, boost controller.....the list is never ending....I'm pretty much stock at the mo (only had the car 2 months) but in my head i'm chasing 2000rwkw (no thats not a typo)

If someone has a cure for this ( i cannot in any way forsee this coming to a natural end) please let me know.

the only cure for your 2000rwkw addiction is to actually satisfy it. But then you might be left wanting more... MORE :D

There's this session every thursday down the pub called " Skyline Modificationolic Anonymous "... where every one share your type of pain and drown them with beer.

HE HE..i go, and i must say,.im cured...Now i go every Sat. morning for the " Alcoholic Anonymous ".

Gee-Yah...!

    • The new project has arrived. I have wanted one of these for such a long time, well before that meathead Clarkson drove one in Africa. I really wanted an E34 but I have some medical issues that mean I *really* can't bump my head and the lack of airbags in the E34 made it just too big of a risk.  I don't know why I've always liked these older touring BMW's to be honest, but man I love this car. She's been pretty well maintained for her 243k's with what appears to be only a single oil leak at the oil filter housing gasket. It has a bunch of updates including later model bumper and headlights, 7 series billion-way adjustable seats and it came with a few spares and another set of wheels with legal tyres. I got a unregistered car permit from the RTA and drove it back from Canberra on Saturday.                   First cab off the rank is cleaning it up for blue slip. I dont know how picky they'll be but I figured I'd clean the headlights, fix the oil filter housing gasket, replace the speed sensors (throwing errors) and swap the OE wheels (the M Sport wheels have a big chunk out of one of the tyres.) I also need to replace all 6 gas struts - 2 for bonnet, 2 for hatch and 2 for hatch glass. The car tries to eat me whenever i open any of these. My plan for this car; Ultimately, this is a budget car. I can't afford to throw lots at it and its because I have another car that I got this, if something breaks its no big deal. I will just maintain and repair it really. But eventually I want to do a manual conversion. It actually looks pretty straight forward for E39's and the trickiest part will be sourcing the parts.  I do need to replace some suspension arms or bushes because wow, she's a floaty old girl. She's also fantastically slow. Like really, really slow. When pulling back out on to the freeway on Sat after a quick pull over I needed to wait until no cars were visible before going.  Oh, and the guy I bought it from had a gorgeous R31 GTS-X in the garage.
    • Do you have a picture? I assume it is a breather for gearbox oil as it expands, it should have a vacuum line run nice and high in the engine bay (R32 GTR has it on a top bellhousing bolt)
    • Hi all, I am putting an r33 gtst gearbox into a VL and have noticed what looks like a vacuum barb on the box (on top in the middle). Suspecting that it's a vacuum line but I'd like to double check, if someone could confirm the function of that would be great. Cheers in advance.
    • I’d love to find some where that can recover the dashes to look brand new and original. Mine has a very slight bubble, nothing compared to some I’ve seen though
    • $170K. I asked one of the guys there as a joke if that price was just for the passenger seat as it was where the price sheet was... he tried really hard to crack a smile 😄 He also mentioned that every single part of the car was inspected and either restored or replaced with a new or as new part, or made from scratch. The interior was incredible, every inch like a new car.
