Engine turning off problem

Hmm.. strange problem occured with my 32.. on few occaisons recently, I've turned the car off (keys out of the ignition) and the engine still runs for a few seconds then dies out! - This is after normal driving conditions, I have an alarm, NO turbo timer.

On older cars, (read old holdens) It used to do that if your timing was a little too far advanced....

Can be carbon buildup on the plugs. The carbon becomes very hot so even after ignition ceases the red hot glowing carbon can ignite residual fuel.

I might be wrong.

Pull out the plugs and have a look.

My car did the same when we installed a R32 RB20det into the R31 and it was a power wire conected wrongly to the ecu.Have you fiddled with the wiring lately or someone else?

have you got a after market thermo fan. some times this can create enough power to keep the computer charged. if it is hooked up wrong
