Adzmax - Well done mate that is an awesome letter, thanks heaps for your support guys.

Also to everyone reading this please post this on every forum you are a member of to get this noticed and help push this idea.

hey adzmax...i would strongly recommend that u contact Neil Mithell at 3AW and express your opions, he has had a lot to say about the import car in the last week and i would suggest u email him with a letter like the one above... He would be a good starting point to help out

my uncle and i have always said that, don't forget they have sandown sitting there not being used, in my opinion that would be excellent for drags...

take it easy

Mark

I dont think Sandown's main straight is long enough, but its a good location for us South/East people :(

Good work people!

    • So there is no other way to remove and install the ball joints then to buy the Frenchys kit?
    • Just to close off this post with the cause of my oil consumption issues. Vertical scoring and glazing at the bottom of cylinder 6. I'm not happy, but at least I finally found something. I'll pull it and get it apart asap. Hopefully I don't need to go one size up in piston.
    • I finally got around to purchasing an actual articulating borescope. Great tool to have, I've been very impressed vs my old regular inspection camera.  With that being said, sadly I finally found the cause for my oil consumption. I always had the feeling something wasn't right but compression and leak down tests were always perfect and I had already inspected the cylinders. This time i dropped each cylinder to its absolute lowest point and with the better quality camera I found this... Bottom of cylinder 6.  Scoring looks deep and I'm presuming oil getting by caused the glazing. I already spoke with my assembler, and will be dropping it off as soon as I can pull the motor and get it apart. I'm just hoping it's not deep enough to require boring out from 86.5 ->87mm. Pistons aren't cheap.
    • I think it's the same. It all comes from the same shithole refinieries in SE Asia.
    • I was referring to the final octane level achieved once 10% ratio of ethanol is added.
