Removing/replacing weather sheilds.

Howdy guys,

The weather shield things over my windows on my 33 S1 are horrible and brown/purple from being in the sun. Anyone know where to get replacements? Or if there's a removal guide?

Remove and destroy, they're not worth having. :dump:

To remove

There are several black push stud thingys along each. From underneath (the window side) puch the center on each stud out. remove the complete stud.

once all studs are removed, the weather sheild will come off.

Each of the metal tabs will now separate into 2 pieces. Gently work each of them out from behind the seal.

They may be held on with some double sided tape, if so you will need to use a little more force to get them off. Then use gently remove the remainder of the tape using your nails (or the gf's)

Use wax and grease remover for the reaminder you cant get off. Be sure to wipe some armour all over and seals which wax and grease remover was used.

The car should look a lot better without the bullsh*t strips!!!

Has anyone who's removed them had problems with getting water in window seals or anything?

if u r a smoker or just like to have your window open, i wouldnt remove them. R33's are one of those cars where water just falls right in.. the sheilds help alot!

also, i think they are all that purple colour.
