Help! No speedo

My speedo in mr R32 gtst stopped working yesterday.

Does anyone know if the r32's have a speedo cable or if there is a sensor for it.

at least if the cops pull u over and ask you how fast u were going u can honestly say that u had no idea hehe

If you find out let me know because my Cefiro speedo is boonged also. The cable does turn as ive seen it whilst ive been driving with no dash in... and the dash works... so im buggered if I know whats going on.

I got it checked out by an auto electrician and he said their is a cable drive. He said the cable is fine and that it must be connected to a sensor in the back of the dash, so i'm gonna pull the dash out today.

the speedo cable connects straight into the speedo clock on the dash. my speedo clock had a crack on the connector and the speedo was way off. i had to replace the clock.

Actually, not quite, but, the speedo cable is mounted and there is a little bit of plastic and a spring between it and where the dash connects to it. This little plastic bit goes into the back of the speedo. I am yet to investigate it further as my car is in for compliance atm.
