hahaha rezz I'm not good with all these places names especially in english/romanji, as I won't be able to match it to kanji names(makes it even harder that I have zero jap language skill), and without some sort of maps to look up so whatever places she tells me I just go "um huh thats nice dear"

hey guys katakana question can someone explain what it means when there is a small to after a katakana symbol for example how would you say the character ke with a small to after it??

i think it means double consonant but how would you say it.

"Ke" with a small "to" after it???

Do you mean small "tsu"?

If you mean small "tsu", it actually make the syllable abrupt, for example "kekkou" (depending on the situation, it can mean "fine" as in "I'm fine" or "ok") would be pronounced as "ke...ko". Where the "..." is, you'd give an ever so slight pause, instead of pronouncing the entire word directly like "keko".

seems the translation is pretty weird like for example have translated another into tufted large carpet which i take to mean plush carpet. :bonk:

I really do need to go and get my japanese books out and try and relearn it I havent spoken read or studied it in 5 years. Hopefully when I finish my degree I can go back and do a graduate diploma in japanese after some tuition to get my skills back

Know the feeling man... When I lived in Tokyo I hated the heat and the fact that you can't even walk down the street in your normal stride, but then loved being in the pumping metropolis!!!

Dude, I used to live near Sapporo, but now back in Brisvegas...(ho hum...) I would move back to Sapporo in a heartbeat!!! It is absolutely the best place on earth (if you like snow in winter and not too hot summers - like me!!)

Well known that Hokkaido girls are some of the hottest in Japan!!! manbe leave your GF at home...
