I have a stock RB20det engine that has a slight knock in the top end somewhere, louder when the engine is cold. Was told by APC here in Brissy that it sounds like a sloppy gudgeon pin. Motor was running fine before I took it out for replacement. Engine had 60,000km when imported and I have driven it around for 7 months. Turbo is in excellent condition, driven daily at 9psi. Boosted to 14psi at willowbank and ran 13.3sec at 108mph in 180sx. Complete motor with all accessories except AFM $650. Will separate.

also have a turbo that needs rebuild but has no play. Not sure what it is. Was told it is a high flow RB20 with steel wheels, but have also been told it could be a VG30 turbo???? Pics of turbo below next to standard RB20 exhaust housing. $300

Have yellow injectors, not sure what they flow. They are off a toyota engine so you will need an after market computer to run em, but they are a direct fit. $50

Following bits are off a R32 halfcut that I have. (94.000kms)

RB20 auto g/box with flywheel $100

Std auto ECU $150

Complete loom $150

Std intercooler $40

R32 Brake booster $50

R32 cross member (suit RB in S13 conv) $100

R32 KYB front shocks $200/pair

R32 dash and inst. cluster $200

Stock dump pipe and front pipe $50

Air Con complete (looks new) $100

After market s/wheel $50

I am here daily so PM or msg me for info, no emails as my email is f'ed.

I'll give you $100 for just the head if the valves an so forth are in good nick. I have no need for manifold, turbo, Plenum rocker covers ect. I can pick up on the weekend.

Ok mate, I have a second parts engine, give me a call when you wanna come down and I'll give you my addy.

Steve

do u hagve coil packs in good working order?

does the steery have a boss kit?

Hows it goin mate? Yep the shocks have springs, they are KYB and are light blue with 'New SR SPECIAL' on em. I have a set of coil packs, motor hasnt run for 9mnths and I havnt had em tested. Motor ran fine but had big end noise. They are not off the motor I have for sale. Make me an offer on em.... Not sure what the steering wheel is????? May be a stocko. What does the stocky wheels logo look like in the centre?

    • Of course you can. That was a waste. Straight down one oil drain gallery and out the sump hole. Could at least have run the engine a little (obviously with at least minimum oil level on the stick).
    • Oh really? Maybe I'm being silly. I'll get some more shots. I had it higher but found that it went too high after a drive, I never knew this but exhausts can move around a bit when hot (makes sense, just never knew) and when it was higher it would make nice cooking plastic smells. That said, I could put some heat tape on a'la 90's R33 exhausts     Ha, I've spent a lot of my life in castle hill waiting for cars to be done. I think I'd prefer something closer but thanks D.
    • @Duncan Yes, changed filter every time. I don't have the service manual for the car yet (Car was imported and they removed everything when importing). I've been using the oil change threads in the forum as reference.   @Milkmun The second oil change was after ~4 months after the first months and I wasn't sure about reusing engine oil that was opened. The third oil change happened within 3 weeks of the second oil change and I used the previous leftover oil to just "clean up" the system. (Poured it through while the sump plug was open")
    • I left the ceramic coating off this bit, hopefully it just comes off after a few drives.   The gap between the spokes is too tight for anything on a stick, its only marginally bigger than my finger. I have to use a brush to get in there and its a big reason why I thought I'd try the coating.   Absolutely will do. I have EBC Blue Stuff pads to put on the front which will make them a bit dirtier. I'm hoping a pressure wash will just get most off. The shine is different to most, its very thin but seems very well 'attached' so hopefully it lasts.
